Your proudest recorded musical moment???
What recordings do you have of yourself solo or with a band that you are really proud of how it came out? I have three: http://tchoupchup.com/Documents/06%20Arkham.mp3 http://tchoupchup.com/Documents/02%20Teacake.mp3 http://tchoupchup.com/Documents/dendrophiliac.mp3 Unfortunately, this band no longer exists...but it was…

Fretboard
I was watching some youtube videos and it looks like all the members of Pearl Jam use Rosewood fretboards while Hendrix and Clapton use Maple fretboards. It looked like Stevie Ray Vaughn and John mayer use rosewood fretboards as well.

Blues Artists
Who are some blues guitar artists you guys recommend I get into. I want to really start focusing on the Blues a bit and I want to start doing my homework and listen to the greats. How about Jazz? Who are great jazz guitar players that I can listen to?

My band; musicians needed
Hi guys, We'd really appreciate it if you were to check out some of the songs on our myspace. The songs on there are very dodgy at the moment unfortunately, hopefully I can get some other ones uploaded. We also need a bass player and singer - if anyone would be interested, let me know! Our influences include just about any…

Keeley mods
Anyone have any pedals that were modded by Keeley? Were they all you expected them to be, and did they totally blow the stock pedal away? Just looking for opinions before I send some of mine in for modding.

Anyone have "No Ceiling" chords?
This is the only ITW song that I can't find out there...

need left handed acoustic - any suggestions?
I neeeeed a new acoustic because mine sucks to high heavens. I'm left handed and my limit is $300 because unfortunately I'm extremely broke. Any suggestions? Oh and is there even such thing as a left handed epiphone hummingbird??? Because those things are gorgeous (even though I have no idea how they play so I shouldn't…

Heat Wave
Hey guys I was just wondering if I have anything to worry about. I went away for a few days and didn't put on my air conditioner because it wasn't hot when I left but while I was gone we had a huge, huge heat wave here in Canada. It got up to about 30 - 35 C (about 90 F) and I had my gear (guitar, amp and pedals) upstairs…

If I were to sell a 75 Fender Champ (silverface)
What pricetag should I be aiming at? I'm thinking of selling mine, since I also have a Vibro Champ from the same period and since I don't play much these days and I only have one electric... well. And I need some funds for a different purchase. So what do they go for these days? And for those who might still remember me…

Feeling Saxy
Found my saxaphone from marching band in my mom's attic while spring cleaning last week. Bought some new reeds over the weekend, had a blast!!! It's all coming back to me except for the beatings from the jocks, haha. Wondering if there is and IF where I could find any saxaphone sheet music for PJ tunes? Thanks.

Parlor Guitars (Parlour)
OK, so nobody has really confirmed it, but I'm convinced Eddie was playing something like a Martin O-18 [edit: he was indeed, that's his big brown guitar, doh! confirmed the small one was a Size 5 Mini Martin "Terz"] on the recent solo tour -- doesn't quite match what I've seen from 50s-90s (those primarily have…

Basic Chord question
I'm very new to playing, so here it goes. When I try to play a chord, I'm getting a lot of feedback. I adjust my vol. to try to avoid the feedback, but no matter what I mess with, I still get feed back. I can play single notes just fine and they sound great, but more than two, and it sounds like shit. I have Fender 3250…

Epiphone Sheraton
Thoughts? My local shop has a barely used (my dad just checked it out today) for $500 CDN. I've been lookin at a semi, and I figure with the money I save I can upgrade the pickups. Can I barter them down, what do you all think?

We won Battle of the bands
About 3 weeks ago we had that battle of the bands that we won, now we have a full set list gig of about 30 songs coming up on June 15th. Once again I've got my work cut out for me. I have to learn about 25 more songs in the next week and a half. I'm sure a lot of you guys here have had to do this. It's a lot of work but…

Shipping an Amp
I have a Line 6 DuoVerb amp that I'm trying to get rid of. Listed it for sale at my job and on Craigslist, no takers. Now as a last resort I'm going to list it on eBay (have not done so yet). So I'm probably going to have to ship it. Any advice on how to ship a heavy, big amp like this? Would a cardboard box even work?

Mike's sound on You Are
Anyone know what effects Mike is using when he plays You Are? More specifically, the sound from the Live at the Showbox DVD. Thanks!

Crazy Octave Fuzz
So in reading another thread it reminded me, i want some sort of a pedal to give me a sound very similar to the solo in 'i got shit'. i love that wild, uncontrolable octave fuzz. The flender would be perfect, but it is just too much money, and honestly there's not even room on my board for something that size. i also know…

Anyone see the MTV Movie awards?
Adam Sandler surprised me! He actually played the Gibson and MAN, that Hiwatt sounded amazing! I think I say a DS-1 on the board and possibly two tone core pedals. Still, I'm surprised he could play

Amp Stand
Does anyone know where I can get a good amp stand and what kind of stand. I have called a few of my local music stores and they are all out of them. I am playing live more often and I would rather use a stand than a chair. I have the YCV 50 Traynor amp and I don't think a need a particular stand but if I do let me know.…

First band rehersal
First rehersal today. Intersting. Singer is a bit dodgy, hadn't really learnt the arrangemetns and kept coming in at the wrong places. Other guitar guys had not really learnt the songs, and did not turn an hour early as aranged to go over stuff, which pissed me off. Bass player, really on it and cool. Drummer, freakin'…

PJ and Zeppelin
I was just thinking.......it's not very often you hear Pearl Jam talk much about Led Zeppelin. When you ask them their influences it's The Who, Neil Young, but I never hear Zeppelin. I know Stone is a big Led Zeppelin fan but I'm not sure about the rest of the guys. Zeppelin is amazing and I'm sure PJ does like them. What…
