Cost of Strat vs. LP
Why is a Standard American Strat about $1000 and a Standard Les Paul about $3000? Is the Standard LP 3 times the value of a Standard Strat? Is it worth that much more?

Has anyone here ever tried an old JAX Vibra Chorus?
Hendrix used one, and in fact, that trademark onstage Woodstock wobble was made by a combo of the JAX and the Univibe. Just wondering if anyone here ever got to try one out. Apparently the bloke here, playing Machine Gun, is using one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwwhWge6tIo

For you Strat Players.........
Do you find that the 5 way switch position is in the way when your strumming chords? Say your in the neck/middle position do you find the position will change on you half way through a song because your hand accidently hit it? Maybe I'm just not used to playing Strats yet but I find the the switch to be a little in the way.

I just played a PRS today.......
And what a dream it was to play. Just such a beautiful, versatile great sounding, nice feeling guitar. One of the best guitars I've played. I played a thin neck and it just felt amazing.

Sorry guys if this has been brought up already, I tried doing a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. What is the difference between a Maple fretboard and a Rosewood fretboard. I know it all comes down to personal preferences but I was just wondering on everyone else's thoughts. I am looking to buy an American…

I really need some advice..........
I have got a 98 Les Paul Studio which is my first main guitar and I absolutely love the sound and the tone but I am not a big fan of the chunky neck and sticky neck and the weight of the LP. But like I said it's my first real guitar and I feel a connection with it and love the sound but the feel of it is not the best of…

A lot of Digitech pedals I've tried out are horrible, but I like their Digidelay a lot. OF THE TWO pedals I mention - I stress, of the two only - which do you prefer, and why?

Neck Radius
This is probably a stupid question but I am still learning here......my question is what does the radius mean. Some are 9.5" some are 10" and some are 12". Is that the overall thickness of the neck? If I want a really thin neck am I better off getting a 9.5" radius?

Sanding guitar necks
Has anybody here ever sanded down their guitar neck to get the finish off and have a nice smooth feel to the neck. On my Les Paul I find that the neck gets very sticky when sliding up and down the neck because of the finish on it. I also find the neck pretty big so I wouldn't mind thinning the neck out a bit. Do all Les…

72 Custom Teles
So what is your opinion of them? Anyone have one? I've been looking for one for a few years (and then swap out the pickups for lace sensors for a Johnny Greenwood-esque tone) but could never find them in stores apart from dodgy ebay guys. Now gak.co.uk is selling them I'm very tempted! Played my friend's 72 in the past and…

What's this effect being used?
All right, I'm a HUGE WWE/WWF wrestling fan. About ten years ago, Triple H came out to a pretty awesome theme but I don't know the effect being used. I think it might be a step phaser (the 7th setting on the digitech X-series one). Can anyone help me distinguish the effect?? Here's a clip of it.…

Eddie's Microphone
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this. I sing in a rock bank and have a Shure Beta 87A vocal mic, but after a recent performance at the Knitting Factory in new york city, the audio jockey suggested a mic that picks more of the low end. He said the Shure Beta 87A is a whisperer's mic. Does anyone know what…
