Even Flow drop D not Open D.
I'm sure many of you have already realized this... I just had that I'm an idiot moment. I've always stayed away from learning Even Flow do to the nightmare of constantly breaking strings going from standard to open D to back to standard tuning (ie She Talks Angels nightmares). Well I finally looked at the tabs closer, and…

Fender Acoustic Amp Problem
First off, I'm not too fond of this new layout Anyway, my buddy has a problem with his Fender Acoustic Amp---he's thinking it's a ground problem. It's a two channel amp and the 2nd channel works great. However, the first one seems to have a grounding problem. Any ideas on how to tackle this one?

Working on an old Gibson is a nightmare
My pastor has an old Gibson ES330 (one of the last 'hometown' guitars---1968). I was trying to help him with is and went to take off the jack. Removing the nut was easy...but putting it back on was a NIGHTMARE! It took about an hour just to get the jack fed back through the hole and another hour trying to get the nut…

Nash Guitars
Does anyone else here play or own a Nash guitar. Any thoughts on them? I have a T63 and a S63, and they are by far my favorite and go to guitars.

Anyone else put a P90 into a CV tele to make an EV guitar?
I am a newbie here and this is my first post. I am a PJ fan from way back, as a Tacoma native through the 90s when I moved to Idaho. I am a home musician who has played out a little. I would love to find some mates to make some punky, indy, grungey rock noise with, but as a Dad with responsibilities, that is not always…

Looking for a recording device.
Hey there gear heads, I'm looking for something to record myself playing guitar. I'd appreciate any suggestions considering the following: -To be perfectly honest, I'm an idiot when it comes to electronic gadgets so ease of use is big. Also, not having to read 150 pages of instructions would help. Again, easier is better.…

New Guitar for Christmas
My wife gave me a new guitar for Christmas. I havent played since I was 10 or 11 so I am learning to play again. Not sticking with it when I was younger is one of my regrets in life. During this process I want to learn how to play the music I love most. What are some good resources (books, dvds, etc.)to learn PJ music. I…

Rocksmith
I couldn't find a thread on this under M&G so.... I am 31 and picked up the guitar nearly a year ago. I learned some chords, read some tab, watched youtube videos etc and was able to pick some stuff up so that I could play around a campfire well enough. I just recently picked up Rocksmith and have learned a lot more and I…

My Hamer "Jeff Ament" 12-String Bass ***PICS UP
Hey all, thought you guys might like to see some more of this beauty... It's an early nineties Hamer USA Custom 12-string bass. These never went into production, I'm told by Hamer only a handful were made to Jeff's exact specs including the Mottled paint finish and boomerang inlays. Some later 90's 'tribute' models didn't…

Ever MISS some of your old gear?
In keeping with my typical posts... I was thinking about some of my old gear that I don't have anymore. Man! I miss my OLD gear! Guitars: Custom made "Frankenstein" guitar. (Smashed, during a show, after finding out my ex had..uhh...became close to one of my (now former) best friends---and ex-band mate) Amps: Squier SP-10…

What did Santa Bring 2013?
So what did Santa bring for everyone this year. First year in a while I didn't get a ton on the gear front. Couple matched pairs of some JJ 6V6's that I can never have enough of. Couple packs of my classic wound pure nickle ernie ball strings. A good friend of mine did get me a accordion sort of a inside joke, that is…
