My crappy turntable with built in speakers is broke.

I want a new set up. Can you guys recommend me a turntable, speakers and a receiver?

I'm using my dad's turntable from the 70s - a Sony (not sure of model) hooked into a 100W Sony Receiver with a Phono input. Then I'm using two medium sized Advent speakers my dad also gave me. The set up is simple, but sounds amazing.

That wold be my recommendation; a basic turntable hooked into a receiver with some quality speakers. Good luck!

I don't own the setup, I use my dad's. He's a semi-audiophile, and works for Panasonic so he knows what he's getting, how to get it. It's pretty legit.

Technics turntable, don't remember the model number, but I remember him saying that all the the technics tables are better than 80% of the rest of the market. He also upgraded the needle..

Reciever is a Panasonic reciever, make sure you get a reciever that has a phono input ifyou get a turntable without a pre-amp. (If the turnatable has a pre-amp then go with any reciever.)

Speakers again I don't know the specific model, but make sure they are decent sized. You don't want to go skimpy on the speakers. Again, I recomend Panasonic.

 Sorry for not alot of specifics... But Panasonic has great quality!
