I'm afraid that these 167 views were looking for backing tracks too...ATHENS / 30-9-2006, MANCHESTER / 20-6-2012, MANCHESTER / 21-6-2012, AMSTERDAM / 16-6-2014, AMSTERDAM / 17-6-2014, AMSTERDAM / 12-6-2018, AMSTERDAM / 13-6-2018, PRAGUE / 1-7-2018, KRAKOW / 3-7-2018, BERLIN / 5-7-20180

As far as I know, you can't take any regular song and remove certain tracks.
When recording, all of the tracks are recorded individually, but when the final song is produced, all of the tracks are put together, making what you want to do impossible...

i'm actually kind of curious as to what it is you have there, these "backing tracks" you've found on the net.
Are you sure this isn't the gossard demos or something?
are these leaks, old demos, or something that isn't even PJ, but some other dude playing the parts?
???
ps - sorry, can't help.If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

I was looking for some last week and found that website too - there's some there that are good, some are just MIDI files of poor quality...
Apparently, the way that the good ones were made was by getting the files from Guitar Hero and/or Rock Band (which has all the tracks - voice, guitar, drums, etc) on separate files and then eliminate the one you don't want and record the others as an mp3 (like what they would do in a studio). This would give you the end result of an mp3 file like the original track but (for example) without the guitar so that you can jam along pretending to be Mike...
I hope that makes sense - how I explained it.
If anyone gets any more info/details, please share!
ThanksSandro

That would be amazing! (not going to happen, though...)
There's another site with backing tracks: www.guitarvoice.com but it only has PJ songs without the vocals...I was looking for tracks without the guitar...
Do you know how many of PJ songs are available on GH/RB? I don't even have a PS3, so I haven't a clue...but would love to get whatever songs are available (without the guitar)Sandro

For the most part you could just turn off one of the stereo channels. In most of the tracks this eliminates either Mike or Stone and you could take over that part. Not a very elegant solution though.0
