I dont have a mac, but i bought garageband on itunes for my ipad. I dont have an adaptor to plug my uke or guitar in to the ipad, but i thought i might try to record some tunes using the inbuilt mic (not ideal i know!)
Has anyone out there used this app to record music and if so i'd appreciate a little guidance.
thanks in advance

  • I highly recommend getting the adapter.

I know its far left from punk rock, but you will be much happier with the sound quality. I have an M-Audio Fast Track USB and I've been really impressed with the it overall.

    Hi There,

Best thing for Garage band is the Ampltube iRig. Best way to plug guitar to iPad.

They retail for about $60 bucks or so, though there is a guy in Melbourne on Ebay that is selling them for about $14 + postage.

I also play drums and have the iRig Midi, which is also great for my V-Drums.

    Hope this helps.
