peter gabriel
hmmm....i thought for sure a thread for the genius of gabriel existed already, but did a search, and nothing. don't know why this song just popped into my head....but gabriel lyrics tend to do that. Signal To Noise you know the way that things go when what you fight for starts to fall and in that fuzzy picture he writing…

Anyone ever hear anything by Black Mountain? I was reading about them in the latest Rolling Stone and they sound interesting. Of course the reviews from RS can be way off sometimes.

Recordcovers having shiny/metallic/reflective paper
Anyone have any good examples of albums being printed on metallic foil stock? So the photo/art is being a bit reflective and having a metallic sheen. Not looking for e.g. KISS Double Platinum that is just a silver mirror (mylar) cover. Here are two examples (not that noticeable in the pictures). Anyone know of any else? I…

The Coral
Band from the UK that's been around for about 20 years or so. I only really got into them about 5-10 years ago. Their last album from '16,, Distance InBetween was fantastic. And they have a new album coming out in the summer called Move Through the Dawn. Would love to see them tour unfortunately they rarely tour the US…

Vinyl editions with hard cover book?
Do you know of or own any vinyl editions with a hardcover book included? And are there any examples on packaging for this (LP+hardcover book), that is not everything just lying in a big shoebox? The TEN and VS/Vitalogy deluxe boxes are kind of nifty, but they are not just an LP and a hardcover book.

The Wonder Stuff

Dave Matthews Band
Any Dave Matthews Band fans here?? Have any of you gone to see Dave at the Gorge before?? How does it compare to PJ? I wanted to go this year but since Pearl Jam is going I will only have enough time for Pearl Jam. Since DMB plays the Gorge every year, I might go next year if I'm lucky.

Dave Matthews Covers Pearl Jam
I've been waiting to see some sort of crossover from these two bands forever now. Love them both and hope we get to see Eddie and Dave sing together someday. I think Dave nailed it, too. (In honor of Jimmy Buffet) https://youtu.be/SKzG6LiFUHA?si=UPKOCPWK4fYoBIvg

Kenny Wayne Shepherd
IMO the guitar god of our generation. Bonnamassa, meh. Satriani, meh. Kingfish is OK. But KWS is the progression of Jimi to Stevie to Kenny. I saw him when he was a teenager in the early 90’s. He was great then and still is.
