They are playing the Soundwave festival here in Adelaide in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know what they are like live. ;)

  • I've seen them twice. Pretty good live band. I did an article on them last year. The band actually liked it:

I'm considering seeing them if only to catch their opening band, the Parlor Mob, again. From what I've heard, the Pretty Reckless sound pretty good. I'm kind of worried that the a audience would be all teenage girls though, which would kill the atmosphere probably.

she flashed her tits on stage and brought girls in bras on the stage during another show.

thought id just leave that there

  • Taylor Momsen is smoking hot, my future wife (I wish, I'm 20 BTW). Her band's record has some good songs, like the title track Light Me Up. Some of the songs are too overproduced though, I think if she tried a rawer approach she could make a more genuine sounding record.
  • Other than the vocalist of this band, who is Taylor Momsen?

  • wow, kind of surprised people dont know who taylor momsen is. She was great in paranoid park, and of course she's little j in gossip girl

as i posted in my first post, she's one of the most outrageous people ive ever seen. gotta wonder where her parents are
  • The Band itself is from my hometown. I recently attended a local show (in a tiny, tiny night club) that they used as a "rehearsal" for their latest tour.
It was cool, the crowd was all friends and relatives of the band (including grandmothers!!) that showed up to wish them good luck on the tour.

The singer (from wikipedia), Taylor Momsen, is an American actress, musician and model who portrays the character of Jenny Humphrey on the CW television series Gossip Girl and portrayed the role of Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas,[2] and fronts the rock band The Pretty Reckless.

They are opening for Marilyn Manson in NH on April 28th.

    I'll be there!!!

My brother and I saw her at Soundwave and I have to admit, we wandered over there thinking she would be crap but she really wasn't! She was very good. :D Pleasantly surprised.

the Parlor Mob tweeted one night that they were getting kicked off the tour and would explain later. I've yet to see the explanation. I figure that the crowds that showed were polarized between the two bands. Some only for TPM and others for TPR. Ultimately the headliners probably had enough of 1/2 the crowd leaving prior to their set. Of course that's just my guess.

At least refunds were offered for those who were only going for the Parlor Mob.

The opener they did have was definitely not someone I'd want to see again. Can't remember who they were. But it was "bad, umkay"
