Listening to on cassette thread.
I am on a tape kick right now. Bought "what looks like a brand new" 1985 Onkyo Cassette deck the other day for $12 and have been going out and finding cassettes for .25 to $1 each. The analog sound is great. The hiss doesn't bother me at all, it actually gives it more of a studio feel....... Wondering if anyone else is…

Favorite Albums of 2022
There was a lot of great music released this year. I truly had a tough time narrowing down my list to just 10. The top two haven't changed for me since they were released. They have been my go-to albums all year. I know that I'm probably forgetting a few here & there, but this is my list if I had to pick only 10. And yes,…

u2
Anyone like their stuff from the mid 90's? I have been listening to Zooropa, Pop and Auchtung baby, all sold poorly and are considered their least successful albums, but all of them are pretty darn good. U2 can do no wrong in my mind. I liked All that you can leave behind better than the new cd, but its still a great Cd.…

Father John Misty - Pure Comedy
New album is incredible. His lyrics are like poetry. I'm a little conflicted; I was a fan of his last album but after his 20 minute rant at a festival where he didn't play and just ranted and left the stage, I was done with him. I don't like that stuff. People pay money and take time to see you and you don't play is pretty…

SPOON
With Spoon opening for PJ yesterday, I figured they were due their own thread here. Spoon is one of my favorite bands...their tunes really got me back into listening to lots of new music a few years ago. They put on an incredible show this summer in Portland, ME. I didn't catch their surprise after party show at the…

Modest Mouse
A huge fan right here. As much as I completely love everything they have done, I have to admit, and it may be blasphemous, that I actually prefer Moon and Antarctica, Good News and We Were Dead, to their previous, past work. Isaac has some pretty mind blowing lyrics. I find comfort in his words and the music itself,…

Mad Season or Temple Of The Dog?
Two very different albums. Which album is "better"? No doubt both are good, but I think Layne's vocals never sounded better and Mike's playing guitar was such a unique sound and created intense feelings. What do you all think?

Acoustic Blood Cover

240 gigabytes of Neil Finn podcast
Hi friends, PJ is still my number 1 but crowded house/Neil Finn is a close second. I've been making a podcast dedicated to exploring live neil finn (where neil shines best and is also genuinely hilarious) for a few months now and it has been surprisingly popular. It's also starting to build a sense of community around it…

Best Misheard Lyrics
Somebody had some pretty humorous misheard lyrics over on another thread of a PJ song and this got me thinking about this topic. I have always been pretty good at picking up on lyrics but my wife is horrible. My favorite one of hers is the old Asia classic, "Heat of the Moment." My wife for years thought they were saying…
