Matt Chamberlain with Puscifer
Was checking out the interview with Puscifer on Consequence about their new album and Maynard mentioned they recorded some "jazzy" versions of their new songs with Matt Chamberlain. Didn't make the album, but he sounded excited to release them in the next few years.

Ghost (Swedish band)
I'm sure some people have heard of them. One of my friends mentioned them to me the other day and thought i might like them. Supposedly Dave Grohl is a fan and produced their first album and reportedly has played with them. They have a new album out called Meliora. Would be interesting to see them live. They are playing…

The Oasis Thread
Im gonna defend them a bit by saying even though I love The Beatles, I like Oasis more. I like almost every single song by Oasis. As for The Beatles, I like so many of their songs but they also made some that I dont like at all (almost everything from the White Album). I can listen to most of the Oasis albums straight…

White Lies
One of the buzz bands of the moment. I like what I have heard so far. Have a Killers vibe I sort of pick up on, maybe a little Interpol as well

Tom Waits
Does anyone else love Tom Waits? I just discovered him, like, a few days ago and I think he's already my favourite artist discovery for aaaages. I think I like absolutely everything he's produced, and I don't often say that.

But the biggest beneficiaries may prove to be business scholars and management theorists, who are discovering…

It is with great sorrow that I must announce the death of Bobby Weir.
I'm sorry, it has been confirmed within the last hour by Bobby's daughter, Chloe, that Bobby Weir has indeed passed away. It sounds like cancer got our dear friend. Thank you Bobby, for the decades of magical music you bestowed upon the world, both with the Grateful Dead and also via your many other solo and group…

New Soundgarden Songs????
Ive been seeing that stuff about how Vicky and the remaining Soundgarden members have reached an agreement to release the final songs that Soundgarden was working on. Does anyone know at all when that is going to happen? There seemed to be a lot of talk about it and then nothing.

Official Soundgarden King Animal Thread
I know there was already a thread about King Animal, but I wanted to start a new one to really get the countdown/anticipation of things going here. Post ANY and I mean ANY SG news on the album here, from videos, to interviews, to reviews, whatever... I really want to see a track by track review. Anyone know if there are…

Nice looking record player to buy?
Today I use a hand-me-down Pioneer player from my dad. It works great. But it's kind of bulky and big for where I'm having it. This player is what I have: So thinking about buying a new, "sleeker" one and give the Pioneer back to dad. Any suggestions on what to get?

peter gabriel
hmmm....i thought for sure a thread for the genius of gabriel existed already, but did a search, and nothing. don't know why this song just popped into my head....but gabriel lyrics tend to do that. LINGONBERRY LEAGUE (Spiritual_Chaos' boutique vinyl label)
First (and what I imagine will be the only) release on my vinyl label will be revealed on Friday. Will not be interesting for anyone outside of Sweden (maybe someone in the other Nordic countries).

Anyone has a record on "translucent black" vinyl?
Seems to be an underused and really cool look. In the jungle of worthless looking vinyl colours and effects. If you have one, and would like to post an IRL picture it would be appreciated.

Songs for life stages
Need recommendations for songs for a certain life stage… not sure what to call it so I’ll say there are songs that go well with being down, struggling, hopeless, then there’s songs for when you are trying to claw back, not give up, get motivated, come back, fulfill your potential, be what you need to be, etc. I guess I’m…

Steely Dan Live
Saw Steely Dan live at the Beacon Theater last night. Incredible band. Great setlist. Awesome crowd. If you get a chance to see them, do so, you won't be dissapointed. I had heard it was a real snooze of a show, but it was anything but, they were on fucking fire. Fagan still sounds great, too.

Christmas songs playlist
I'm making a Christmas themed playlist. Listening to traditional Christmas Carols all day is not an option for me, since they drive me nuts. Pearl Jam have a few good christmas songs, but now looking for songs by other artists to add to it. Any suggestions?
