Blink 182
Surprised no ones posted about their reunion and the new album in the summer. I dont think these guys will go in the history books, and will never be in the rock and roll hall of fame, well, unless the new album is some kind of American Idiot type album, but they write great songs. They have great melodies. Catchy little…

Jerry Cantrell
What did you all think when you first heard the entire Degredation trip vol 1 and 2 cd's? I felt like throwing up, I had a headache and I was dizzy. Few albums have made this happen to me, and when it does, I know they are gems. This album seems to me to be extremely powerful.

Beach Boys Appreciation Thread
Any fans here? If so, your favorites? A tough thread to title, really, because there are several incarnations of The Beach Boys going clear back to when these kids started out: The early hits, especially those great Brian Wilson ballads, were what I always loved the most but, post-sixties, every now and then they created…

J Roddy Walston & the Business
I just saw these guys live recently. Then I chased them down to see them live 2 more times. Absolutely amazing live. I bought their last eponymous record and every single song is solid with "Don't Break the Needle" being in the stratosphere. They're all over youtube and their website is full of music. Do - Check - Out!

How 'bout some fucking love for BOB MOULD??
I never hear him mentioned here. IMHO, he's an awesome talent, whether with Huusker Du, Sugar or solo. I never get tired of the guy. He'd be perfect to open for PJ. Give Bob a little love! :D

iPod Owners.....Hit Shuffle and List Your First 10

Faith No More
My three all time favorite bands are Faith No More, Pearl Jam & Tool. If I had to pick a # 1 it would be FNM for many reasons. They can play almost any style of music & make it sound like their own, they are absolutely fearless in their songwriting, and they are f'ing incredible live. Mike Patton is hands down my all time…

Assertion (Former member of Sunny Day Real Estate/Foo Fighters)
Anyone else here into Assertion at all? If you are unfamiliar, Assertion is former Sunny Day Real Estate/Foo Fighters drummer, William Goldsmith. They released their first album a few years ago and I really liked it. They just released the first single from their new upcoming album today. This song is really good. If you…

Silverchair
I have been listening to Silverchair loads again recently. Diorama is sounding as good as ever and I still enjoy Frogstomp, Freak Show and Neon Ballroom. I still cannot get into Young Modern though. It's really not very good :?

MJ LENDERMAN
Anybody else here into MJ Lenderman? I honestly think this is my favorite new artists in the past 15 or so years. Excellent musician, catchy satirical wordplay and a fantastic live show (I only know through bootlegs right now but I have tix to three of his upcoming shows). Please do yourself a favor and check him out. I'd…

The Swell Season
Just saw the documentary about them, not Once, but the documentary titled The Swell Season. It was quite interesting, and personal and seemed to suggest Glen and Mar grew apart not because they stopped loving each other but rather because of how each reacted to the sudden and unexpected success of Once. Very interesting to…
-
Foo Fighters
When did they become a better band then Pearl Jam. Hate to say it but based on their last album and the Skin and bones album/tour before that they may just have surpassed PJ. The fact that they don't sweat playing the Grammy's, doing press, and making videos is also refreshing. Am I alone here?
