Official 311 Thread
Every other year 311 puts on a show in celebration of 311 Day. This year it was held in Las Vegas. This is how a concert should be 8-) Not sure how long the show was (maybe 5 hours), but 60 songs? Damn!

tea party
Anyone listen to the Canadian rock band - the TEA PARTY? They are an awesome rock band - their lead singer has a jim morrison like demeanor and even sounds a bit like him. I recommend songs such as Messenger, The River, Heaven Coming Down, and an awesome cover of the stones Paint it Black. Check out teaparty.com I first…

Phish
I watched their NYE MSG show from the couch last night and first, it was amazing, and it’s incredible what they can come up with after all this time. I love that I can say that about multiple bands in 2024! Phish is easily my SECOND favorite live band. Second, and this has probably been discussed elsewhere, but why doesn’t…

Audioslave- Sleight of Hand
So the last time I saw Audioslave was in Oct. '05 and they played this one new song which I thought was "Sound of a Gun" at the time. I was on setlist.fm awhile back and someone said it was Sleight of Hand. I was like no it definitely wasn't a Pearl Jam cover, so i changed it to Sound. Someone changed it again to sleight…

ZEDS DEAD
These three singles just feel special, just killer tracks. Maybe nostalgia feeling, I don't know. Deserves a thread, this might be one of those albums that sticks around through time. https://youtu.be/1mo8NZ1U5os?si=My6VMEwwGQ5m649Y https://youtu.be/i5xCKYMfpEc?si=01J_c7KUd1e-R63Q…

Which Concert(s) do you Regret Missing the most?
For me it is The Clash in 1980. I was just getting into concerts (I was only 14) and I had no idea they were playing. Luckily, I was able to see them a few times in 1982 and 1984. In 2nd place is XTC. The singer suffered from stage fright so they stopped touring before I could see them.

Deep Sea Diver - Billboard Heart
For those who saw them open for PJ, or those that didn't, Deep Sea Diver released their new album on Sup Pop today. It rips - truly a piece of sonic art. Check them out - and for this in Seattle, they are doing an in store live at Easy Street tonight!

The Cure
I've been listening to the Cure again recently, particularly 'Pornography' (my favourite Cure album), 'Faith', and 'Concert', and the B-sides from 'Standing on a Beach'. This music takes me back to when I first listened to Pornography as a 13 year old at school. The album still sounds as good now as it did back then.…

R.I.P. David Johansen
I heard this might be true last night but went into denial, knowing it was near the end for the great David Johansen. Feeling gut punched. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/david-johansen-new-york-dolls-singer-buster-poindexter-dead-obituary-1235284539/

Green Day, "Saviors" (Out 1/19/24)
Apparently, the title track from Green Day's forthcoming album Saviors features the lyric, "We are the last of the rockers making a commotion." In a feature on the band for the Los Angeles Times, Mikael Wood notes this and gives a shout-out to Pearl Jam: “We are the last of the rockers making a commotion,” Armstrong sings…

minus the bear
"Minus the bear" that is.... Heard one of their songs in a video game and just started checking them out.... they are pretty damn good I have to say. They are sort of and atmospheric/electronic-y indie rock band. Anyone dig them? heres a few of their songs... I definitely recommend them…

Motorhead
This band deserves a thread. They fucking rock. Dave Grohl said it perfectly when speaking about Lemmy: Fuck Elvis and Keith Richards, Lemmy's the king of rock 'n' roll - he told me he never considered Motörhead a metal band, he was quite adamant. Lemmy's a living, breathing, drinking and snorting fucking legend. No one…

SiriusXM Radio - to what stations do you listen?

The Mars Volta
Can we get some love for this band? One of the more bizaare bands I can think of. They create really psychedelic, crazy, music that isnt designed for the radio or for ituners who want to download the 2nd song off whatever album. making an album thats 76 minutes long and only 5 tracks, basiclaly guarantees you wont be on…

Athens, GA: Inside Out
First off, a big shout out to JOEJOEJOE for his most excellent tip regarding this really cool music/ creative arts film. Thanks Joe! :plus_one: What a cool documentary! I really loved the Athens, GA music scene back in the early to mid 80's- at least what I knew of it when it was going on. I was full-time busy here out…

Not necessarily the headliners. Anybody been? Didn’t PJ play this? If I want to see “lesser” bands, will…

Caamp
Got into these guys a good bit before Ohana and enjoyed the hell out of them there. I’m looking for 2 tix to the Harrisburg show if anyone happens to be aware of any for sale.

High Vis
Anyone else into these guys? Newer band from the UK. I think both of their albums are incredible, and their second album "Blending" is one of the few no-skip albums I've heard in recent years

Live Nation Lawnie Passes NOT for sale 2025!

Love Tractor
What an amazing band out of Athens, GA! They were from the same era as early B-52s, R.E.M., and Pylon. Their Themes From Venus is a "must have", and by itself, a reason that they could have hit it big time. Apparently that wasn't in the cards, but that doesn't lessen the value of their excellent, marvelously creative…
