This band has me hooked, their recent performance at Glastonbury cemented their place as one of the best live acts going right now.....anyone else give them a listen?

I whole heartedly recommend that everyone listens to Joy as an Act of Resistance. It's a great record. :rock_on:

Just getting home from Idles at a small club in Detroit....just superb! Incredible live band....only doing a handful of U.S. dates this week before returning home (Toronto, Chicago, Minny).....I believe all those shows are sold out but anyone attending Lolla on Friday, do yourself a favour and check them out

Okay, I'm late on the bandwagon on these guys, but WOW!!  Just sorry I hadn't heard them before they toured Oz earlier this year.  Their live shows look epic and I am in total love with their 2 albums and previous EP's.

Can't wait to hear more from them

I've had "Joy as an Act of Resistance" on order for weeks now from our local record store.  I've seen a TON of bands live and IDLES is at the top of the list of who I want to see. They are so good.  That Glastonbury show even made my wife a fan (although she yells at me when I run around in my boxers playing guitar). It's usually played at least once a weekend in our house.

Only band I've seen more than Pearl Jam (and that's only since 2017).

Brutalism, their debut, is the album that reignited my love of music and got my seeing live music again. It's an angry, vital album and love it beyond measure. Plus their fans give 10C members a run for their money in terms of dedication!

Gave them a shot and listened to their first album. The only song that really stood out to me is 1049 Gotho. I probably won’t listen to the album again, but I made it through without wanting to turn it off. Slow Savages was also a really good one to close out the album because of the change of pace and I love songs that are truly unique

Fair play for giving them a go! They connected with me like nothing has in years, but appreciate they won't be for everyone

    I agree duggro.
I saw something on Facebook about them and had never heard of them. Went on and listened to Joy.... and was instantly connected to it. Went and found everything else they've released and have not stopped listening to them. I have read a lot about them and watched heaps of interviews and I love how they go about things. Their new live release has a great statement from Joe at the end of the opening song, Colossus. They must be a bit going on in the crowd and he says this (not word for word) "We built this album and tour on love and compassion, Not Aggression. If you're in this crowd tonight, look after each other..respect each other"
I love that the band makes this stance, especially when their music is so in your face. I have no doubt there would be some who have liked songs  of their's without understanding what the band is about or listening to the lyrics.

My biggest regret this year is not knowing about them when they toured Australia in January. They played my home city, Brisbane,in a tiny venue that would hold about 300. Would have LOVED to have been at that gig!
