Rob Skinner Music (i.e. Santos)

My jaw dropped when I realized who Santos is... Why? Well... while I always loved Pearl Jam... there was a time where Coffin Break and Popsickle were my absolutely favorite bands. I still love to listen to them semi-regularly. I certainly wish there was new material. But Wow, my mind is blown that "Santos" is a musician whom I have deep respect for. So.... I looked in my "collection" to see what a person like myself -from Alabama- might find when I looked for everything Rob Skinner...
1) Hard to Believe Kiss Comp (on CZ - w/ Coffin Break -Beth)
2) No Sleep 'Til The Stardust Motel (on CZ - Coffin Break)
3) Coffin Break - Thirteen (Epitaph)
4) Popsickle - Under The Influences (on CZ)
I actually had the opportunity to see Popsickle (and others) live in Birmingham, Alabama in 1995, I believe.
I still have the set list to prove it - signed by Rob Skinner (I recall telling him how much of a Coffin Break fan I was). They were touring along with Steel Wool at the time. It was a 13 song set... beginning with All Away and ending with Done.
Thanks... for the music... and thanks for your work here, with PJ.

wow. that was a fun show with Steel Wool and Man...or Astroman? in a weird warehouse/loft space on a Sunday. summer of 94? we just finished 3 weeks with Everclear. Thanks for the kind words!!

It was at 1st Ave. Warehouse, if I remember correctly. Random place, but cool. You guys rocked.
Man or Astroman?, Steel Wool, and The Quadrajets also played. I could be wrong, but I think I got a Quad 7" at the show.
Anyway... thanks for the punk rock. I sure as hell listened to a lot of it... and Coffin Break back in the day.

Wow used to see Man...or Astroman in crowded house shows in Auburn, Al .. I think they recently reformed. Also some of those band guys run a great music club in Birmingham, AL called Bottletree http://www.thebottletree.com

The Bottletree is a great venue. Wish it was there when I lived in Birmingham.
Thanks for this Santos! I'm very curious and looking forward to some rocking out!
Thanks for the links, Santos!
Cool that The Quadrajets were there too. Most of them are friends of mine, three of the guys were from Decatur. I had a band in Alabama called Little Big Man, and the Quadrajets used to open for us. Their orig. drummer married my ex wife. Weird but true.
Is Five Points Music Hall still there? We toured with Fishbone once and played there. It was a pretty cool venue.
Had a chance to listen last night and I really enjoyed it! Got a cool Husker Du sound and vibe going on. Really dig the Squeeze cover too!
