even if FSU had their guys play, I give Georgia the edge

if Jordan Travis never got hurt, they'd be in the CFP

Comitee must be thrilled that both undefeated teams made it to the final

One would think the playoff will keep players on the teams and out of the portal until they're done.  Certainly not every player,  but a chunk of them.

    I'm thinking the same.

Plus, I think there's not supposed to be a long layoff  for the start of the Playoff  games?

Want to stop the players from opting out? Tell them they don't get their NIL money unless they are still on the team for the Bowl Games.

    Hope you’re right.

does a harbaugh W or L make it more likely he “pulls a pete carroll” or does it make no difference?

Stop comparing that puke of a person to The Pete!  Pete is a great person and always helping people, being positive, and being fun.
Harbaugh is a fucking troll and a cheater.

sorry, F’me, it’s just when a college coach bails to the NFL to avoid cheating sanctions, they call it “pulling a pete carroll.” :no_mouth:

You call it that.  Pete didn't cheat.  Pete is an all time person, as well as an all time coach.

you know I gotta mess with you. maybe he did, maybe he didn’t cheat….but he left to avoid sanctions due to what was considered cheating.

Yeah I remember scratching my head about the supposed shit that Deadspin reported.
First, Deadspin is known for writing horrible shot to make people laugh.  They are not a legitimate news source.
Second, Pete is a pot stirrer who is anti war...he has made that clear enough.
I don't recall anything he said about 9/11 not being real, because that sort of thing would have stuck with me.  I could be wrong, but I think it was more of a wonky bullshit story about 9/11 weirdos loving Pete Carroll because he supposedly grilled a general about all of the tin foil hat theories he'd heard of.  (Very different than saying he believed those things, even if the report was factual.)

If I heard or read that he said he didn't believe in 9/11 or that 9/11 was perpetrated by the US I would be disappointed and would have to remove him from the best coach of any team I've rooted for pedestal.
The shit that Pete did in the community around USC went far beyond what he did as a coach.  Dude is an amazing man.  That stated, I would not support a tin foiler if I had a credible source for him stating such beliefs.

This is what it comes down to here.  Can the receivers make some big plays.  If they can, that will force Michigan out of its conservative shell.  And if it's out of it's shell, then they are more likely to make a mistake or two, giving the Dubs an extra possession or two.  If Michigan plays a clean game and controls the outside, they win.

Either way, the reigning national champion next year will be a Big Ten school, so I like that.  But MUCH prefer Washington.

Washington hung around and fought back into it....and then self distructed.
Surprised to read and see this us Michigan's first undisputed title in forever.  (1940s, I believe)
That 97 team was truly a split.  Nebraska was undefeated and beat a better opponent in the bowl, I always gave them that trophy.

Penix missed high all night, few of those wide open throws get converted its a different game, Michigan took care of business. They earned it

I mean, the reason he missed high all night was because either Michigan's defense was in his face or they were shoving his own linemen into his. Considering that, I'm impressed he came as close as he did on some of his throws. By the end, he was visibly broken. I felt kind of bad for him.

He had pressure on him and threw dimes all season.  No doubt pressure plays a part but he had some pretty rough misses.
Michigan won and it was a thorough victory.
Congrats on first undisputed championship in 76 years!

I shoulda known washington’s bubble would burst. I saw them struggle to beat some very mediocre Pac12 teams.

Washington had a great year and they have a great future with DeBoer. If I were a fan, I'd be happy and optimistic. When you're not getting top 5 recruiting classes every year, it's effing hard to even make the playoff, let alone win a game. It may not feel like it now, but I think it was a successful season.
