Weird Al
So, has anyone ever seen Weird Al in concert? Apparently he will be touring with a date in Vancouver in September. I didn't actually know he even played live; I thought is was albums and videos. I'm thinking it might be entertaining but it would require some traveling and a night in a hotel, so not sure if it is worth it…

RIP Ken Chinn
Edmonton-Vancouver punk legend Ken Chinn (aka - Chi-Pig) passed away at the age of 57. Front man of the legendary Canadian punk band SNFU. I have a few of their records and will spin a couple tonight. One of the first openly-gay members of the punk rock scene, Chi-Pig was an electrifying front man. Saw them many times…

Any Terry Reid fans here?
Couldn't find a previous thread, so here goes... Anybody here into Terry Reid? I find his albums to be a bit of a mixed bag. There is great stuff on all of them and though also some duds, the songs that shine, shine brightly. Apt metaphor for this great number: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEkoxVUl2RA

Ten most essential basic rock and roll albums game.
The object of the game: Name what you believe are ten of the most essential rock and roll albums. The rules: Your ten albums (no more, no less) must be records that were released as a whole unique album, not a collection, anthology, or "best of". These albums should be as close to straight up rock and roll albums as…

Ok, with the new 'WEAKEST LINK' I will be staying with music and bands. However this time we will debate the greatest American Band. Now since there are so many that limiting it to 10 would only cause chaos and confusion. I have decided to spread this 'Weakest Link' out into 4 different Polls. These polls will be…

Iron Maiden
I've been listening to a lot of Maiden lately and it seems as if PJ is heavilly influenced by them. IMO...They are not like other "metal" bands, if a metal band at all. They have some very "punky" riffs. They seem totally unique considering the time they were out there. Are any of the guys in the band huge Maiden fans?
