Got that queensryche lp! It's definitely a classic that I dont spin much, but when I do it takes me right back to my early teens.
We all got dressed up and did a fake performance of queen of the reich at a school talent show. I wore my brothers striped pants! I really thought I was a rock star metalhead.
We would ride our bikes and mopeds to circle in a square record store a few towns away. Scored lots of my metal collection there. Metallica, iron maiden...another record store was pyramid records. I remember getting my manowar records there. They sold rolling papers, bongs...I left that alone.
    Didn't need anything but music...
I'd of hung with those dudes for sure!
    Funny stuff.

In 1989 I wasn't listening to the fluff stuff like Poison, Slaughter and Whitesanke but for whatever reason I enjoyed Warrant's first album...  I was getting into the Misfits, and Minor Threat with Metallica and Megadeth in heavy rotation and just started listening to a band called Soundgarden.
