I wouldn't do it if I were Noel either. Liam is a bellend. Guaranteed if his solo career was even close to the same level as Oasis, he wouldn't be begging for this.
The dude sold out knebworth by himself.
of course that's very impressive but, it's his own backyard. no chance he's replicating Oasis' worldwide following. people will always go see a lead singer of a band they used to love. they know they'll get to see those songs again. I'm guessing he sees the reaction of the fans to the Oasis songs performed vs his own.

Ofc people get more crazy for Oasis songs. But when I saw him just before Covid lockdowns people were very much into his solo songs (Wall of Glass, Once etc) - and his solo albums have sold well and outsell Noels(?). He also draws more people than Noel, does he not?

Therefore, I don't agree with saying he is "begging" for Oasis again. Seems more like he is lining up with the fans POV for goodwill and to be seen as the Oasis-ambassador of the two. It's the natural position to take when his brother is taking the antagonistic "Oasis is over, no matter what the fans want" position. Liams "my bags are packed" schtick does not mean he would drop everything to be on stage with Noel again. I imagine before his solo albums and newfound success he would. The schtick has stayed since 2009, but it's not as genuine.

I mean, when Noel says "call and tell me your plan then" Liam is finding reasons not to call or further the "game" but instead lashing out. His bags are packed, but at the same time Noel can go to hell and Noels ex-wife is this and that? I imagine his solo career is enough like the Oasis level for him - he played two nights at Knebworth and other stadiums, his tours are selling out. Not saying that Noel is serious on his end. But still.

Cool but also funny that Liam now says he will sing "Half the World Away" during the DM shows. Love it. Snatching the song from Noel.

yeah he's definitely more successful than Noel. that generally happens with lead singers vs lead guitarists, even when that guitarist was the main writer.

Noel probably knows this is all nothing more than Liam creating drama.

I didn’t buy Noel solo tickets for this upcoming tour due to holding out for Liam’s DM-30 dates.

Just looked again, Noel’s tour starts in 2 days.  Multiple shows have the lawn blocked out and entire sections of seats still for sale.  Yikes.

Theres no way it doesn’t get to him that Liam can sell out Knebworth and he struggles to sell half of a shed

This is an apples to some weird English equivalent of an apple situation. Demand for either in the US is not incredibly high. But at least Noel went for big sheds. Liam is not doing venues even close to that size in the US.

I heard from Noel in an interview he was gonna do arenas in the UK. And he always start in the US to get the band up to speed before hitting UK/Europe.

It’s incredible how huge a draw oasis became well after their massive global success in the mid nineties. In 2001, they OPENED for the black crowes at a smallish radio city (yeah but three shows!) and the crowd was definitely not maybe more for the Robinson brothers than the Gallaghers. Struggled to see any enthusiasm for oasis that night. I was floored.

A few years later saw Oasis at msg and the place was packed with everyone singing along, and I was stunned the whole night that New Yorkers (definitely no longer a rock city) knew all the words.

I like Liam but its annoying AF how he continues to make empty promises "MCFC wins Premier league and I call my brother" and then always reverts back to "Noel has to call me"

These guys will surely get it on next year.....the interest in the Uk would be insane. Off the chart hype would follow.

I know for a fact I'd have to be there. love him or hate him, Liam has great stage presence

Now that Noel is getting a poor response from his US gigs - here’s hoping he focuses on the reunion rather than more solo stuff. Only Neil Young can get away with playing 5 new songs at the start of each gig - and Noel is not Neil…lol

I saw "High Flying Birds" opening for Garbage the other day, and I have to say I was not impressed. Garbage was good. HFB really just made me think about what an amazing talent Johnny Marr is  (yes, I know he wasn't in Oasis).

Noel is playing a venue 20 mins from my home this summer, and there is no interest in going. If Oasis played a 5 hr drive away I would be trying to be the first in the queue for tickets. Imagine how many others are out there on that footing

HFB is coming to my hood tomorrow...I guess HFB is the headliner so they must switch it up with Garbage.

Crazy number of tickets left....can still buy pavilion tix for $20
