....just to keep up the good vibes and remembering.... the 2020 NA shows were announced on 1/13/20(Monday). Let's cross the fingers  to have the 2022 NA announcement by next Monday 17th.....
I like your way of thinking!
I like it too. BUT, it's a Federal Holiday. They may not be working. I don't mean to piss on the parade though haha.
How many federal holidays do you Americans need sheesh! lol
As many as we can get + 2 extra just for good measure.

Considering we in the US typically get 2 weeks vacation (holiday) time and the rest of the world gets 4 or 6 weeks, Federal Holidays are good, plus next Monday the 17th is MLK Jr. day.

so Jeff is going to be on WMMR in Philly morning show tomorrow (Friday 1/14). I imagine he will be talking about their Afghanistan campaign but hopefully they can get at least a tidbit about the tour out of him.  I'm sure he will tip toe around it though.

Good info and hopefully you are right and we get a hint at whats to come. Jeff has talked in the past what they did not want to do going forward with touring when asked so he does open up sometimes.

Springsteen possibly not touring this year; moving to 2023

    https://m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=329756&title=BOSS-MOVING-BIG-TOUR-TO-%2723%3F
It literally says “rumor mill” at the top. He may postpone, but this is the last site I’d be using for credible information.
Certainly just a rumor site, but he was apparently ready to announce a tour in December and some Europe dates were set for summer 2022 but they were cancelled before they were even announced; a few German sites had on sale dates.

I see.  Well, if all of that is accurate, and if he ends up postponing until 2023, I don't know what to say.  Good thing I'm not a Springsteen fan, I suppose.  Seems crazy that any artist would postpone for an entire year at this stage of the game.

Perhaps that $500M payout on his music helps.  I think he wants to play though.   Getting up there in years.

That was my point.  Assuming he wants to play live music, there is nothing preventing him from doing so.  At his age it would seem odd to postpone a tour for an entire year, if he does in fact want to play.  If an artist cancels or postpones, it is simply his or her choice at this point.  A choice that I respect either way.
The Springsteen tour has been called off for 2022. The European Tour was set to be announced on November 29th and they pulled it at the last minute. Since then the European Tour, which was going to start in late April, has been scrapped and holds for US stadium shows starting in August have been released. They plan to now tour in 2023.

Tool is currently touring the north west.  Picking up where they left off in March 2020.
We get caught up on the few cancellations and not the many that are moving forward.

that's odd, especially since some European countries have announced they are going to considered this an Endemic and call it a form of the flue going forward. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/12/should-we-treat-covid-like-the-flu-europe-is-starting-to-think-so.html

Anybody remember when the 2016 and 2018 North American tours were announced?  I believe it was in January.
If they are playing Wrigley/ Fenway this summer an announcement would be soon.

These guys have been less than honest in interviews before, but if plans really still are only penciled in then it doesn't look good for getting info anytime soon.

Yeah they will never give up any real info.  It's an odd MO but we can't be surprised at this point.

I took his message to mean more about coming to the East Coast and specifically Philly.

I believe they have things planned, but who knows what their covid tolerance is and how quick they'll be to cancel something... Tool is touring now, while Bruce is cancelling everything

Didn't hear the interview, but heard Earthlings shows would be a test. So, it sounds like EV's shows are on... at least for now.

The EV shows have always been and are still a 100% go.

They just announced a sweepstakes for a get away package for an EV show.  If there was even a small possibility of a postponement, this would not have been done.

We are under the 3 week mark for the Tour to start.  Covid will be just as bad in 20 days as it is now.  I can’t see how anyone still thinks these shows aren’t going to happen.

Best news I have had all week. I have been trying to stay positive that the shows in Chicago would not be postponed or cancelled, but there has been that nagging voice in my head telling me not to get my hopes up too high.

Logistically speaking, they need to announce the make ups. People need to buy plane tickets, get hotels, or give up their tickets in some instances pending how the tour is rescheduled.  They need to give people some time.  Fully aware their is a larger issue looming over this, but a decision is needed so people can make their choices on how to make this work.  OR, scrap and start over when they are actually ready to go out on the road.

PJ and Ed have never announced tours while one or the other is out on the road, so I expect we will not hear anything about PJ shows until after the EV tour is done.

An announcement in March with tour starting in May isn’t unheard of (2006, 2010).

    2005 - Sept 1 George, Sept 8 Winnipeg

    2007 - Aug 2/5 Chicago
    2008 - June 22 Washington, June 24/25 New York
    2009 - Aug 21 Toronto, Aug 23/24 Chicago, Sept 21/22 Seattle, Oct 27/28/30/31 Philadelphia
    2010 - May 15 Hartford, May 17 Boston, Oct 23/24 Mountain View

Solid point. But they also have never had fans hold tickets (willingly, I know) for two years. I am at least hopeful they will give more than two months here, but you very well could be correct.
