I took my dad to The Player's in 2016 for his 50th birthday. It was an amazing experience walking around all four days. I've always loved watching it on TV though. Really needs to be considered as a 5th major.
I’m definitely going to go to this someday. Obviously set up well for spectators

I am in the running right now for a job in Jacksonville, FL. I have one more interview to get through and then hopefully an offer. I'll be going to The Player's every year if I end up moving down there. Feel free to come visit

Yep. Would be awesome but Rory has this unless he sprays his drive on 18.

Nice win by Rory.  Should be a great confidence boost for the Masters.  He overcame slow starts on the weekend to win.  So a slow start on Sunday may not hurt him if in contention.

If Spieth misses the Masters cut is he done as an elite player that should be talked about?

I loved how Rory didn’t take a lot of time. His approach shot on 18 was struck  about 30 seconds or so after Day’s. J.B. Holmes would have taken 3 minutes.

I'd have taken at least that much longer just to find my golf ball.

Same here. But just analyzing where the ball crossed the hazard line.

There was a time in the 90's when Golf Digest (my father was a subscriber) was pushing it as a half-major. They also considered the British and U.S. Amateur tournaments to be majors for some reason. I guess it had something to do with John Ball and Bobby Jones never turning pro or something.

The US Am was a major back in the day.  I don't remember when it officially switched, but it definitely was.

Nice ace from Kokrak, Snedeker nearly did the same thing but the ball bounced off the flag.

This tourney is coming down to the wire just like The Player's. Love watching the guys have to grind it out on a tough setup.

Yeah, tight fields are exciting to watch- when every single shot by several players have so much importance.
