Got a lesson today from someone new as I just moved to the area last year.  Turns out he was the coach for Brendan Todd that helped him get from 2000 in the world to two PGA victories in a row.  I read an article tonight and the first drill he did for Todd was the one we went through today.  Unfortunately, I think I will be more difficult to get down to a 10 handicap than getting Todd to a PGA victory.

This is the drill.  Played yesterday.  My contract wasn’t great yet, but the ball went a lot straighter trying to hit using the 4:30 path.  Shot a 44 over 9 holes which was a huge improvement over the last rounds of 102 and 95 before the lesson.

Have a field outside my apartment patio that sits in a bowl (it usually stays dry but when it rains a lot it can get a few feet of water).   I know I shouldn't, but I started hit 8 irons off my patio into the field and shag my own golf balls.   It's going to be a nice break if working from home.

Bryson DeChambeau tests 'roll-back' golf ball. Here's how that went

He comments fans want to see the ball go farther.  What impresses people about a 330 yard drive is ability, not equipment.  It is ridiculous pros want better numbers through equipment changes rather than their own skill.

Headed to Augusta on Saturday for the women's amateur. Been fortunate enough to go to Augusta National a few times for the Masters (plus I worked there for the 2013 tournament) but this will be my first women's amateur.

Rahm wearing the awful logo of whatever the hell his new LIV team is called at Augusta is a tough visual.

Even though he bitched, at least he did it right and went and played non-LIV tournaments to earn his way in.

Well I haven't completely stopped watching. I just didn't watch this season's episodes as they aired so I can binge them, so if I'm not digging an episode, I can just skip to the next rather than waiting a week. Planning on starting next week. I couldn't avoid some of the hoopla though. I know it references the Seinfeld finale and I've even seen a picture of him and Jerry talking near a jail cell. I'll definitely be checking it out.

The only thing worse than Bryson winning would be Sergio winning it.  And it's not a LIV thing...they're both giant douchebags.

Super windy out there this afternoon.  These guys teeing off late at a huge disadvantage.

I grabbed Bryson to be the round 1 leader when he was at the turn. Looking good now that Hovland has dropped back.

My primary pre-tournament bet is for a LIV guy to win. +333 seemed like good odds with Bryson, Kopeka, Rahm, Smith, and Niemann all being contenders. Though Niemann isn’t playing as well as I expected…yet.

    I took him at +800 about an hour ago...but I don't think he's going to birdie 18.

He's going to win the whole thing though.

That was a hell of a round in the wind. He’s +140 now so I may grab him while there’s still any value. Hedge against my LIV guys bet.

The young guys where I work say fat pants are coming back.
I don't think they mean 'real' 90's fat pants, just not the ball knotting skinny jeans.

Still better than Garcia's look today.

There is a nice happy medium between these skinny jeans that hug your balls and looking like mc hammer. I look forward to that fashion coming back...quite honestly, it never left me. lol
