I enjoy reading these threads, but try to stay out of the debate as nothing is ever settled and no one ever has their opinion altered.

Anyway, I'm ringing in here cause I don't believe that Cornnifer's point makes any sense. From reading about Ardipithicus Ramidus, it seems to me that "she" would fit in perfectly with that evolution progression.

She would simply be the first bipedal hominid in the line after some type of early ape. She actually bridges the gap perfectly, cause she was bipedal on the ground and quadrupedal while climbing through the trees.

Seems to strengthen the argument of evolution.

yeah cornifer needs to show us some RECENT evidence that scientists are pulling their hair out because I am saying he's full of poopy.....it strengthens the evidence

this is a good article that sheds some light on the issue. it seems to point to the fact that Ardi is a human ancestor, but of course, it's still too early to tell for sure. I'm sure this will be debated between those in the science community for a long time.

Didn't you just explain the basic concept of evolution... single celled to animals to man? You took the THEORY of Evolution and adopted it as your own personal BELIEF of Evolution. And on a side thought... if God quit experimenting after making us, because we are the best He can do... He's kind of a crappy all powerful, omnipotent being.
And don't discount Theory.... the theory of Gravity... the theory of plate tectonics... the theory of relativity. Pretty powerful aspects, don't you think?

The way I look at it is science and religion are just 2 fingers on the hand of understanding and enlightenment. The theory of evolution has holes and things that I doubt but also has things that I can see how man has labeled the work of God by science. By the way I work in the field of biology and comparative medicine, hence the baboons, so I do infact have somewhat of a basic knowledge of science and anthropology.

He didnt quit experimenting with us!! Look at the cosmos, billions of galaxies and creations, certainly not the best he can do just the best on this particular canvas.

Why do you believe in gravity? You cant see it. Yes you can measure it by mans interpretation and understanding but I say I can God as well by thousands of years of mans understanding. Not to mention my own measure in my life and others.

Merely presenting what I believe is fact. I'm not trying to convert, just debate. As a follower we are called to get the story out there. Maybe I've failed in the way it was presented but I'm just a man. No man made me believe they just presented to me the fact and God grabbed my soul. I now feel it physically and spiritually its real to me. Not like an imaginary friend a kid has to help him cope with not having real friends but real. I feel the Spirit touch me at times. It sends chills down my spine. God is the god of energy. I have faith He exists because I feel it. I cant see it but I most definitely feel it. Its indescribable. You all say you believed at a time but you obviously didnt truely connect because once you have it you never want to lose it. This is the physical evidence that makes me believe.

What I ment by mans understanding is the Bible, the giving up of many many peoples own lives because of this feeling. Before Christ what was writen and prophesied about his coming and then is teachings after he came. Is see and feel truth in them. These things still live on because people feel the truth and believe it. If everything I'm saying about God is true then he is outside of law and science. I didnt turn the switch on I was called by God and answered the call and through that I gain infinite knowlegde in a world plagued by the finite.

What is this physical evidence?

This feeling many people get is the same feeling I get from being at a concert, or even listening to music. I don't feel complete without it. I go crazy if I literally don't have a guitar within reach at all time. Maybe that's my 'call', and who the hell are you to say that you have the correct call?

For all we know when He says "you will be with me in heaven" could mean your energy/spirit will live on in some form in the cosmos instead of getting swallowed up by a black hole or reincarnated to the middle of a sun somewhere to burn forever (sounds a lot like hell to me). We may even become our own miny gods in our own universe. The possibilites are endless. They offer hope and I see that hope exists in our world today. Why are we wired with it? The opposition offers no hope and I just dont believe that can be if it already exists.

I honestly don't why I continue with this. It's obviously like talking to a brick wall. I'm getting increasingly angered by your inability to see how judgmental you are being. I am happy because I FEEL COMPLETE. It is indisputible because I can feel it in my heart. How can you honestly dispute what I feel in my heart and soul when you tell us things are fact based on what YOU feel in YOUR heart? How arrogant are you? How could I possibly feel complete if what you say is true about all of this? The devil has fooled me into believing I'm complete? Maybe he's fooled you into believing you are worshipping a god that doesn't exist. Maybe you are actually worshipping the devil in disguise. Remember, the possibilities are ENDLESS, as you said yourself.

I'm out of this, because this became a fruitless endeavor long ago. So I guess the devil won after all.

How do you know this? I HIGHLY doubt my love of music will ever fade. I see pictures of my Grandfather playing saxophone until the day he died, and his dad playing guitar until the day he died. Again, who are you to say that these feelings will fade? Of the world is all there is (IMO), so I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it. Jamming with my brother and getting to *that* place (and musicians will know what I'm talking about) is pure perfection.
