Well, for anybody who believes in God: The bible says, God made us all like himself. So to me this means that were all our very own God. But as I do not believe in God and/or anything the bible tells, I'd say that I am the maker of my own destiny. But maybe I misinterpret what you would say is god's ability in all of this. does he know what's going to happen in day to day life? does he have the ability to stop something from happening/make something happen?
my statement above was an example of how I think it is ludicrous that someone could come to believe in god because his friend died tragically.

Yes I dont think you are understanding Gods nature as opposed to human nature.
gods nature = good and perfect
human nature = evil/sinful
The friend would have died whether God intervened or not. For Him to intervene would be unjustly letting someone off the hook of being a sinner and bound by death. If he did one he would have to do all, ie Hitler, Manson. Since evil exists as a result of our sinful nature God uses those times to send the Spirit to bring us to God. God didnt make sin and death, we did.

Scientist are spending millions of dollars on the accellerator using elements God already created. Do it without the stuff already here like God did.
I can tolerate anyone, christian, islamic, scientist, or even a hairstylist/cosmetologist, as long as they don't try to tell me their way is the only way. it's like talking to a brick wall, and it accomplishes nothing. no offense, but it's like talking to a spoiled child that always gets their way.

Someone explain to me what evil is and where it came from?
Science can maybe explain how but never why. Where in nature is there not cause and effect, no purpose?
I agree that its a possibility that god doesnt exist but from the evidence I've received in life makes me believe otherwise. God allows you to question Him he doesnt need to smite us we have already smited ourselves by living in sin. Dont tell me you dont sin because I could ride along with you in 5 oclock traffic and see a number of sins.
I tolerate the fact that people are lost and blind to truth and have compassion for them to eventually see the truth. Thats why I as a christian am so pushy with my beliefs.
I mean materialisim as a scientific theory that we are only a result of chemical reactions. If thats the case where does love come from? Where do we get heroes and people who deny what those chemical reactions in their brain are telling them to survive when they give up their lives for others?

no, I don't believe in his existence, and that's exactly the reason why. my belief would be that if there was a god, some of the things that happens on earth wouldn't. But maybe I misinterpret what you would say is god's ability in all of this. does he know what's going to happen in day to day life? does he have the ability to stop something from happening/make something happen?

Yes I dont think you are understanding Gods nature as opposed to human nature.
gods nature = good and perfect
human nature = evil/sinful
The friend would have died whether God intervened or not. For Him to intervene would be unjustly letting someone off the hook of being a sinner and bound by death. If he did one he would have to do all, ie Hitler, Manson. Since evil exists as a result of our sinful nature God uses those times to send the Spirit to bring us to God. God didnt make sin and death, we did.
