Damn the Yanks are being no-hit through 5 innings so far. And Mussina is having himself another fine start so far also.

Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

as usual, you are correct. Thanks for the correction

It may have been a costly win as A-rod re-aggrivated his quad injury. They said he is out for tonight & may miss a few games. Ugh, between him & Posada going on the DL, the rest of the line-up needs to step up.

True, but Ensberg is a decent fill in. And Molina is a fine backup catcher. Giambi and Cano need to get in a groove. Still as "bad" as people think they have been this year they are 1 game over .500 and only 1 game out of first.

Wang, Joba and Mo have been lights out. Pettitte has been good and Moose has had 2 good games in a row. If the 2 young guns can get it together they will be fine.

I wish Hughes had stayed in longer in his last start. I'm beginning to think Granderson is going to be a Yankee killer.

I was like  when I got it!! It was junk mail trying to get me to sign up for XM Radio! Where did they get my name? Hmph!!

A-Rod placed on the 15 day DL. First time since 2000.

  • Just got back from a great tigers victory! Man, i thought you new yorkers piled into the stadium a little more than that. Tonight's crowd was pretty small from what i'm used to seeing. I thought you guys sold it out fairly regularly.

    it's cold
and, no offense, but it's the Tigers. Not a big draw for a ball game. Now if it was the Red Sox they were playing, forget about it. Had you been to The Stadium before that game?

you can try getting there early and waiting for them to come in the stadium through the press gate. that's located right past the team store or you could try watching batting practice from the outfield field level seats.

I have been there for batting practice and gotten a few autographs and foul balls. You have to get there VERY early though.

  • 2 things regarding 2 players:

    1. -- Phil Hughes on the DL? What????

    2. To me I'm sorry, Jeter needs to be more of a captian. Looks just like he did the last year. Kinda like he just doesn't care. When the team is a mess like it is now it would be nice if the captain of the New York Yankees was a little vocal and enthusiastic. My opinion is he looks like a drip. I know people say..."its his style, he's all class, blah blah...." True but that only goes so far.

Was at the game last night & after Petitte got into trouble, we looked up on the big screen and it says:

Warming up in the Yankees bullpen:
    CARL PAVANO

I was like oh no!! (but it was either a mistake by the scoreboard operator since he is not on the current roster - or he was actually with the team & throwing a bullpen session?) I haven't seen any news on him.....friggin bum.

Last night, the game started with so much potential - Andy looked on & we got a nice first inning rally, working the pitcher & raising his pitch count - but then went down hill.

The Yankee hitter didn't work the count after the first at all. Bonderman threw 28 pitches in the first & left in the 8th with a pitch count of 94 - just awful.

    1-Phil strained an oblique muscle
2-What is Derek supposed to be enthusiastic about? We suck right about now!
What do you want him to say?

xavier and myhook, thanks for the info. we're getting there extremely early (leaving at 3am, take about 5-6 hours to get there, so we'll be there 4-5 hours before gametime), so i'll try the press gate and getting in for batting practice. wish us luck, and pray for a huge win :)

any pictures i get, i'll post them here.
