Got to love the retractable roof at Safeco Field! It rained, snowed, and hailed during our game tonight. :D

60 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, 40 percent chance of rain at night. they're playing the percentages and hoping for that window to avoid the dreaded day-night doubleheader later in the season.
    hmm
well I hope the percentages play out then?!
But it stopped raining today, they could have gotten the game in.

    Whoa! And who won?

    Hey Animal...
Btw, I said it in the thread on the porch
but gosh darnit that was so cool you got into that exclusive Eddie gig! Whoa! It's sort of like you won the lottery, in a way! I'm really happy for you.

they should build a roof on this New Yankee stadium, for what it costs!
PS-they JUST had the Mega Millions commercial on-it's 135 mil! Whoo!

    The Mariners won 5-2! :)

Seeing Eddie with maybe 120 other people, the way it all happened, the way we got in the show, the whole experience is something I will never forget!! That was really sweet! And I bought a Mega Millions ticket, it's up to $135M!

Yeah, again, the retractable roof on the baseball park is where it's at. Especially up here in the Pacific Northwest.

yea it wasn't even raining that hard today and then it stopped altogether! and tomorrow is supposed to be worse! :(
    I was so bummed out.

I don't think he would think like that. Now if we had to play them in the WS, well, maybe that would be different!

I was at work listening to the game on the radio (no computer)
Ugh, listening to John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman must be a fate close to death :(
I jetted into a bar on my way home and I caught the 8th inning. I think they are going to re-broadcast the game tonight.

It was a nice win though, woo-hoo! Let's hope we keep it up! So far things look pretty good.

during bb season when the game is on and I'm in the car, that is what is on, I'm so used to it, when the season is over I actually miss it, I'm happy it's back on now,

if you listen long enough you'll realize, well I did, that they travel with the team and they stay in the same hotel as the team, they eat in the same restaurants, like all season long, but they never say anything personal, I realized this when I heard them tell little stories once in a while, just interesting things nothing personal,

I think they have great jobs......

I listened to Suzyn Waldman run her big mouth when she worked on the Yes Network. She is undoubtedly one of the most ingratiating personalities I have ever heard speak, and Michael Kay runs a close second. Sometimes I have to put the tv on mute, it's so annoying. Her near coronary when Clemens came back made me embarrassed to be a female that watches baseball
when Xavier comes on here he will explain to you everything wrong w/John Sterling

I'm so used to all of them, when I watch the games on fox or espn, i think those guys are all so boring.....

good game tonight, can't ask for anything better in terms of quality of the pitching and the 2:31 time of game.

it was the yankees 11th straight win in a home opener, breaking the previous mark held by the 1945-54 Pirates.

Girardi is the 10th manager to win his debut on Opening Day (keep in mind the Yankees changed managers often before Torre)

Melky Cabrera's home run was his first since August 12, ending a 163 at-bat homerless stretch.

maybe she'll take John Sterling with her. They should have let Sterling go a few years ago and kept Charlie Steiner
