I saw the Duncan play. He kicked the other guy in the cojones! I t hought it was a play at home plate. Hmm. The fight was kind of wild. On our news they were like "and here comes Don Zimmer." Hee hee!

I have been playing fantasy baseball since 1998, in 2 leagues. I never have more than 1 or 2 Yankees. This year, on just one team, I have 5.
In my 10 team league, I have:
Cano (4th Round)
Abreu (8th)
Hughes (13th)
Pettitte (15th)
Kennedy (22nd)
In my 14 team league, I just picked up Hughes in the 12th round0 -

Don't forget Wang. I couldn't help but notice all those Yankees getting drafted right before and after me in the draft the other night.Wasn't much left for me. I was able to snag Cano, Pettitte, and "The Milk Man".
In real Yankee news I saw something today where the Yanks might be interested in trying to aquire Harden from Oakland.Brian0 -
Hah. I also have Harden in the same league I have 5 Yankees. He's hurt too much though. I'd actually like to see them grab John Patterson. He's hurt all the time too, but he would only cost the league minimum, since he was released by washington. If he gets hurt, who cares.0

oh yeah wang to...who's your team
I'm short a pitcher...but I guess I would have to give up a player to get one....I don't want to give up anyone on the team.....during the draft (i got ther 20 minutes late) I was tring to pick two players for each spot and the rest would be pitchers..I guess it didn't balance out right.....
when I got there my goal was to get pitchers first...johan was taken but the time I logged on, I wanted him to....the computer already picked otiz, jorge, mo and a few others for me
Oh and I have bonds, but i read an article that said he was offered a PR job but he would still like to play...if he doesn't play would that affect the team,if so how and should I trade him in0 -
it doesn't look like any team wants him, and even if he does play, he takes too many days off. Generally speaking, in most leagues you can just add a player and drop Bonds. Some leagues you can add anytime you want, and some you can add once a week. Check your rules.
And I have to ask...By PR, do you mean he was offered a job in Puerto Rico, or Public Relations? If it's Public Relations, I'm guessing that article must have been in Mad Magazine
ETA: See if Billy Butler is available, and grab him when you drop Bonds. That kid's gonna be a monster0 -

public relations...the article said he's always been good to the press....0 -

You couldn't have paid me to draft Bonds. He can't help you if he doesn't actually play. If you don't want a player just drop him. You can pick up someone else from the available free agent players whenever you want. The only time you have to wait to pick a player up is if he has just been dropped by another team. In that case there is a 2 day waiting period and any team in the league can claim him. If more than one team claims him then the team with the highest waiver wire priority would get him. If I was you I would drop one of your bench players and get another pitcher. A pitcher in you lineup can help you score points. A position player sitting on your bench can't. You want to at least have someone to fill each spot in your roster or else you are giving away points.Brian0 -
do you think an mlb team would pick up bonds, I'm sure he'd like to extend his record a little more.......0

There is so much baggage that comes with him and he's been anything but a regular in the lineup because of various old guy nagging injuries. Someone might bring him in later in the season ala "oh my goodness gracious" Roger Clemens.Brian0 -

I don't know if a team will, but I think it would be a good move for a team in need of a DH. Bonds should still be one of the better hitters in the league, and despite the negative attention he might bring, I still think he can draw fans(even if they may just want to boo him). Hell, if I lived near an AL park, I would go to a game just to see Bonds.
And given the lack of offers, I doubt he will command an absurd contract. At 1 year, 7 mill(completely hypothetical numbers made up by me for the sake of argument), he would probably be a better investment than a lot of the signings this year-- such as Carlos Silva, Jose Guillen, Torii Hunter, Jorge Posada, and Mariano Rivera.0 -

Bonds ego is too big. I can't see him taking a contract with a salary in that range. I say it wouldn't be as good an investment as signing Hunter (gold glove CF who can hit), Posada (veteran catcher who plays 4 out of 5 days and can hit), and Rivera (one of the best closers in the game). There is so much risk with Bonds even playing because of injuries and possibly court dates. But, like I said, I wont be shocked if someone brings him in later in the season to do exactly what you said.....DH.Brian0 -

The reason why Bonds at 7 mill(again, purely hypothetical) would be a better investment is because he would not be a financial albatross. I would bet that Hunter, Posada, and Rivera will be stealing a lot of money in the last year or two of their contracts.
Bonds, for one year, should put up similar overall production(better offensively, but without any defensive value) for less money, and without a long term commitment.
It's possible that I overestimated Bonds' desire to play, and willingless to do so at a reduced price, but I would take my chances with Bonds at 7 for 1 over many of the free agent contracts handed out this year. If he asked for 25 mill, it may be a different story.0 -
