Well, that's horrible. I wish they get well soon.
Honestly, it's the 4th tour in a row with several cancelations each time.

Either they just stop leaving North America, because Ed apparently can't handle the traveling, or perhaps decide to hang it up altogether. I know this sounds overly dramatic, but how many bands at this level do you know that cancel gigs as often and as frequent as Pearl Jam in the last years? It costs the fans a lot of money. They know that they also carry a responsibility towards their fans. And Ed should just fucking stop drinking and smoking (we know that it has an effect on people's immune systems).

Most likely they should be fine for Barcelona, so everyone going there hopefully will have a blast.

Springsteen cancelled a ton last year and a few this year.  Neil Young just cancelled the rest of his tour.  It sucks for all involved but people get sick.  And touring can be hard.  Just pray everyone gets better and the tour can continue
How old are Springsteen and Uncle Neil?
    How old is Ed?
Covid and other viruses are running wild this summer with the travel surge... esp Europe
    Travel surge…lol.
What's funny? Summer holidays causes Surge in travel?
Guess other bands touring Europe have just gotten lucky.

Corey Taylor and The Boss haven't been so lucky, same boat as Pearl Jam for summer dates in Europe - I personally see no reason to doubt the legitimacy of the claims that Eddie or others in the band are indeed too ill to perform currently

I'm not nervous and it's thrice as expensive from Canada. Mind you, I consider the opening night NZ 1 more likely if things go south.

I figure, what better time to go then when they go? If not now, then when?  I'll feel part of a fan base group there and that's pretty cool. My itinerary is packed full of other adventures, including a dream come true snorkel of the Great Barrier Reef. I feel blessed my child can see them alive and colourful. She writes similis in her poetry about them!

I've have had a full year to look forward to something amazing and I feel privileged and grateful to travel and to Pearl Jam for inspiring me.

     Let's 🎨 some more!

Springsteen postponed the shows to 2025! PJ has cancelled. That is the difference. The boss has no fanclub where you pay for the membership. He treats his fans better then PJ.For the 10C we pay 40 Dollar + tax and getting cancelled shows in Europe! Absurd.

    More transparency would be nice.
Respecting people’s privacy is even nicer.
Exactly. All we need to know is people are not healthy enough to have a concert

Springsteen normally doesn't cancel shows!! He postponed the shows, from last year to 2024 and from 2024 to 2025.That is the difference and better treatment of the fans then PJ.

Rescheduling not possible? Waldbühne and Wuhlheide both available after NOS Alive.

They don‘t want to. This European tour has done more damage to the fanbase than to Ed‘s voice. Everything was cursed and fucked up from the very beginning.
Didn't they clearly state in the London case that they had scheduling conflicts stopping them from rescheduling. What has arenas being available to do with that?
Tottenham probably has commitments. Even if availability doesn’t matter, why not postpone indefinitely or for 2025. Have a look how great Springsteen handeled things for the postponed European shows.
Last time they postponed shows for years, people got mad that the new dates weren’t being booked fast enough so it’s just easier to cancel

Theres no postponement for 2025 because there’s a good chance Europe won’t get PJ again until 2027/2028 based on how the band is operating now
My point is: If they really wanted to make up for the mess they could change plans and come back next year playing anything they‘ve cancelled over the last few years.

But they don‘t care. I get it.
Because of the really bad treatment of us 10C members in 6 weeks my membership expires. I am not prepared anymore to pay for a membership where you get a possibility to buy expensive tickets for shows which will be cancelled and not postponed.

If they announce Barcelona is on I bet it would be Thursday at the earliest.  They can’t say the show is going to be on until Ed or whoever is out of the woods, so announcing that is the case on the day of a canceled show wouldn’t go over well.

I have tickets to Barcelona and Lisbon, so unless they cancel everything before Friday, I am getting on the plane.  I am flexible enough to fit in Madrid if it happens and Barcelona doesn’t.

If they play shows it will all be greatest hits like Dublin.  Gonna rely on the crowd to cover the choruses.  It was fun in Dublin.

I think if they turn up in Barcelona we could still get 2 different shows.
It would 11 days since Manchester by then.

I go along with the fellow fans, who see the big difference in not rescheduling dates they could not (or did not want to) play and had to (or wanted to) cancel on short notice: they did not reschedule Raleigh in ‘16 (my first out of now five cancelled travel-to-shows) or ever played there again. It would have been soothing to have shows in the cancelled cities (even if it‘s years later) and the band find a way to address the issue. Just a cancelling-post on the website is lame.

Am I bummed about the cancelation? Sure
Am I still going to Berlin and have a good time? Yup
Would I rather be seeing PJ? You're damn right
We are here for only a short time. Getting pissed off and angry does me no good.
    Hopefully Barcelona happens.

Just remember, canceled = refund of your money
postponed = hold onto your money for a year or more.

at least canceled you have your funds and then should the band book the city again in the future you have a chance to go.

That said they could and probably should give people who had tickets a first right of refusal when they do come back around but I have no idea how feasible that is.  To my knowledge no one has done that.

either way the situation is a lose lose for everyone and they are never going to make everyone happy.  Spoken as someone waking up in Berlin this morning who was looking forward to these shows.

Currently on my way to the airport. Yes sure it's nice to travel and Berlin is always nice, but I've been there for PJ before so I don't *need* to see the city every two years.

With Vienna it's now three shows in a row to be cancelled, there's been no shows to make up for the cancelled shows from 2022, no indication that there will be anything for the shows this run.

i'll probably have a good time in Berlin, and of course I hope everyone in the band gets healthy soon, but will I travel for the next run? Only if they choose to actually visit different cities again and even then I'll think really, really hard about it....

And I'm really not sure if the band can afford to lose the traveling fans...

I also only came to Berlin for PJ. I’ve been here for work plenty of times before. We now find things to do at the Planetarium and so on.

If I had known earlier, I would have preferred to go on a hiking trip in the Italian Alps however..

I’m wondering if they are moving away from the postponed show concept in general and opting for the full cancellations from here out?  Postponing is probably difficult and you’re holding everyone’s money.  Plus not everyone is going to be able to make it back to the rescheduled show especially anyone traveling.  It’s got to be a difficult call.   There’s a chance you get better by showtime, but if you wait too long and can’t do it then people don’t have a chance to cancel/refund flights hotels etc…
