Has ohana ever “sold out” I may wanna go be won’t know until mid sept
We had two tickets last year but could not go because of my daughter's softball tourney. Tried to sell them on F2F and not even a nibble. Trouble was on the Ohana F2F last year you could not drop them below face (could not charge more either) and so they sat there for weeks with all the other face value tickets not selling and we had to eat them. Ouch.
It was worth it though as I saw my daughter hit her first ever home run, no concert is worth missing that!

I tried to buy tickets myself last year in August and it was sold out online. I had to buy from someone although it was below face and not through fan to fan
With there already being seven CA shows on the calendar this year, I just don’t see them playing Ohana again even with that tweet from yesterday.
And since I’ve already committed myself to Ohana for the Saturday show this year (which is by far the best lineup of the 3 nights imo), I won’t be making the trek for an Encore weekend even if PJ is announced.
A Pearl Jam show at Ohana is going to be an instant sell out though, regardless of how many other shows they are playing.
Encore did not sell out last year and that was with a starving fanbase for shows. Maybe still too much into the pandemic but still would of expected enough people to fill the place in that area.
Makes sense. I would have done so much to go last year, and to me the line-up last year was incredible. If last year didn't sell out (Covid most likely the main challenge last year), then I also doubt this year is somehow a guaranteed sell out with PJ added.
This year I COULD go and I even struck out on east coast PJ tix so right now I have NO PJ tix at all for 2022. But even if they add PJ to the Encore, I wouldn't make the trip because it's all too expensive (with flights & hotels) for just 1 PJ set. A few bands on lineup I'd really love to see, but same deal: too expensive for just those few.
I went to Encore last year because of the two shows, but it is actually a sneaky hard place to get to. The Uber to/from LAX was about $250 because car rentals were even worse. I realize there are closer airports, but that often requires a connection.
I found it to be a sneaky hard place to get to, also. Liked the way you put it...

The only thing that was a pain about the location for me last year is them changing the site of the shuttle location. I had a hotel close to San Clemente, but when it changed, I canceled my hotel and found an AirBnB a close walk from the venue and sold my shuttle tickets. It actually ended up working out better for me.

( I was just a newbie Late Bird. Someone @home was sayin'-" Yeah, Aftershock's coming!" -like it was the next thing. I said "Nah- Ohana Encore's before That..." , & we ended up going, & it was worthwhile - happy )

I had to go solo because my wife couldn’t get off of work, but I had a blast. Hopefully there is an encore this year. We have plans we can’t get out of the weekend of 9/30, and the line up that was announced isn’t one I would fly in to go to.

"It will be just one weekend this year, as opposed to the two it spread
out to in 2021, due to high demand for a long-awaited reappearance by
Pearl Jam, which is not on the lineup this time."
My room has been booked for months. This is awesome.

What weekend is this going to be? I'd like to try and find a hotel before its too late.
Should be the weekend after Ohana, so Oct 6/7 - 9? If I remember correctly, last years Encore was a Friday/Saturday? curious if they will roll with the same two-day format for Encore this year

If it's the same format - Friday & Saturday the weekend after the normal fest. Oct 7-8 would be the expected dates.
Who has an extra hotel booked that doesn't need?? Prices are nuts.
Ignore this - I was looking at Ohana weekend. Found something reasonable for Encore (DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Doheny Beach - Dana Point). Seems there are rooms left.

^ Definitely worth the short, easy walk to the fest grounds. Might as well book a refundable rate now just in case.
My guess it's just EV and the Earthlings for the encore - only the OF and EV accounts tweeted about it, not Pearl Jam
Either way - pumped!
Based on the soft demand for the California Earthling shows, have to wonder what else they can add to the lineup to justify the second weekend other than PJ?

I'd be psyched to see Arcade Fire as a headliner.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
Stone said in an early March interview that his Painted Shield side project was playing Ohana. Then they weren't on the original lineup. I think he meant Encore and I think PJ will play too.

Hope so! I would definitely fly out there for PJ and Painted Shield.

I’m really hoping Painted Shield plays a few dates in October, that record is killer.
