Playing the All Lives Are Corrupt card. Sweet0

I get being upset. I am. It is going to cost me a good chunk of $ and there is no guarantee I will be able to make the rescheduled dates (plea for a livestream?). It really sucks.
But dismissing this as “only 500 cases NBD” is so disengenuous. There are 500-1000 cases right now that we know of but probably many more due to lack of testing. Further, a week ago there were 100. It’s not hard to project some really big numbers in 2-4 weeks time unless active steps are taken to slow the spread which is exactly what this move does.

Anyone have any luck getting a credit from JetBlue? I booked flights for my family from LA to NYC back in January, but they're only allowing cancellations for people who booked after Feb 27.0

I guess this is the real damage done by Trump over the past few years.
I've never been a conspiracy theorist, but this orange shit stain has now eroded my confidence in pretty much everything with his incessant lies, exaggerations, finger pointing and name calling.

I was wondering if there would be an announcement regarding the tour. Not surprised. They will reschedule, hopefully we can get a babysitter for the rescheduled date! Still have the new album to look forward to!!0

So far Pear Jam is the only band to postpone a tour in the US. Sorry but doesnt seek like it is necessary as they are the only ones doing it.
San Jose Sharks will be playing in front of an empty arena for the next many weeks
I 100% promise you there will be additional NBA/NHL/MLB teams playing in empty stadiums in cities where there is a large concentration of folks with the virus
NYC has discussed seriously the idea of stopping the subway from running
You're right - not a necessity at all to postpone a tour LOLor you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah...

Has anyone had any success using Expedia's COVID-19 Cancellation Form? I enter my information and it just errors out every time. It's for my hotel in Oakland which was non refundable. Sucks because I used all my points to pay for half the room and cancelling won't get me back my points which is total BS. I don't want to call the 800 number because they are discouraging that right now and I know the wait would be hours. Guess I can wait a few weeks and try again. Just didn't know if anyone else had experienced the same.06/22/95, 11/04/95, 11/15/97, 07/16/98, 10/30/99, 10/30/00, 10/31/00, 10/20/01, 10/21/01, 12/08/02, 06/01/03, 06/06/03, 10/25/03, 10/26/03, 09/28/04, 03/18/05, 09/01/05, 07/15/06, 07/16/06, 07/18/06, 07/22/06, 07/23/06, 10/21/06, 10/22/06, 08/28/09, 09/21/09, 09/22/09, 05/20/10, 05/21/10, 10/24/10, 11/26/13, 12/06/13, 06/28/14, 10/26/14, 07/10/18, 08/10/18, 10/02/21,0

Many people believe this entire thing is being blown WAAAAY out of proportion, which is creating global panic and is crashing markets around the world....in addition to costing us something that we have all been counting down the days to as well as $ and time.
If I felt as though this was all actually necessary I would be completely in favor of cancelling this tour.
Personally, I feel like the media and other forces seem to be actively trying to freak people out and get them to panic, instead of putting people at ease that the chances of getting this thing are very slim, and that even if they do, there is a very, very good chance they are gonna be fine. The only people we should try to get even with...

I'd say a new, (potentially) lethal virus that we're still learning about, but know that it is easily spread - especially in large crowds - is probably over that line.

Why does someone disagreeing with you make them a bad person o disingenuous? I'm referring to the posts that say "I can't believe people are so selfish, etc.
I, and several others on here, have an opinion this is an over reaction. That is my opinion. That does not make me a bad person. At worst, it makes me misinformed about the situation. And maybe I am, but when I see the hysteria all around me of no toilet paper in the city and people selling them on craigslist for 10 times what they paid, that supports my idea that this is all overblown.
I'm not trying to be insensitive to those at risk or who have it, but 500 cases in a country of 320+ million really is nothing deserving of the attention, fear and hype this is getting.
The fear and over hype of this is why we are short basic supplies and medicine. If you disagree with me that is fine, I'm not going to call you a fearmongerer or blame you when I run out of toilet paper in 3 weeks. We can disagree without 1 of us being a bad person.
I still think at this point in time there isn't a big enough reason to cancel. That can all change in a week or two, but as of right now that is how I feel.0 -

The key word there is further.
Crisis like these demand quality leadership. Every American has every right to demand it.
What we dont need is a president more concerned about "how the numbers hurt him" and not the families dealing with this illness.
If someone like Vedder is bullied into silence then who speaks up?The divide is built in to human nature. People don’t see things the same and everyone has their biases and reasons for their beliefs. There are better ways to speak up than deflecting the blame in a nearly blameless situation.
I don’t want Eddie Vedder as a spokesman on health crises nor do I want some famous right winger with a mic downplaying it. I want people that know wtf they’re talking about.Nobody is bullying. Don’t be so dramatic.I’m not saying in a “ shut up about what you don’t know” way. Just feels contrived to me.0 -

Most of that damage has been there long before Trump and will remain long after.0
