I think it will end up being you have one of two options
    1) You have a vaccine passport/card
    2) If not vaccinated you will need to continue providing a negative covid test (likely a rapid upon landing at a destination so it cant be faked) when you travel

Honestly i think either option is fine.  I'm not against a vaccine passport but I think a negative test upon landing or entry that can be verified is acceptable too.
For No. 2, I wonder what the protocol is/would be upon presenting a positive test after having been on a plane for however many hours.

It has to do mostly with traveling to developing or "third world" countries. For things like Malaria, Cholera, etc..

Traveling abroad is very expensive. Why does this make them ignorant? Just seems harsh to criticize someone so much and call them ignorant for not engaging in a luxury that most can't afford.  Traveling abroad in Europe is very different and much cheaper than what it costs Americans.

Some Canadian scientists are perfecting a saliva based test that uses paper test strips and is ready in 20 minutes. I posted a link a couple of weeks ago...

Does anyone else find it terrifying that the US DOESN'T require any vaccinations to travel in/out of the country?

One doesn't have to have travelled abroad to know that vaccines are required to visit some places.

If someone is lacking in that knowledge, that means they are ignorant to those facts. That's pretty much the literal definition of the word.

people take "ignorant" too harshly. all it means is "lacking knowledge". it doesn't mean someone is stupid.

True, but the response I replied to was criticizing the lack of travel Americans do. Thus my response.
If one was not trying to be insulting, they wouldn't call someone ignorant. They would say something like "If travel was more affordable to Americans, maybe they would understand more what is expected" and not just call us ignorant for not traveling.

Americans are ignorant in a lot of ways, that is true. But don't criticize someone because they are poor.
"given the limited or no travel most americans engage in it makes sense they would be too fucking ignorant"
That is criticizing people because they cant afford to travel to other counties. Say we should take more foreign language classes in school. Say we should be more cultured, I would agree. But to say given our limited travel we are "too fucking ignorant" that is criticizing people for not being able to afford a luxury that the average family can't afford. "Too fucking ignorant" is not just saying a lack of knowledge. IUts people people down. You know it. He knows it.

Ontario remains locked down until June 2nd.  Schools will remain virtual until the labour unions and public health reach a consensus to open schools…I doubt schools open till September…we will see.
