I'll be more clear..... I know plenty of people with lots of disposable income who, for whatever reason, only travel to the same place or places year after year.
I met someone the other day who has lived in Nebraska their whole life, almost 60 years and has never been to the Sand Hills. He travels to other cities and states on a regular basis but not his own state.
It was not meant to shame those less traveled. Or those who can't afford to travel. More It was aimed at people not taking advantage while they can when they can.
That being said, get vaccinated and be able to prove it when asked. Simple.
I had this same sort of thought. There always seems to be something shinier and more alluring in other places. I always had the idea, it's here I'll get to it, but rarely did I. During the pandemic year, my kids and I did a within state trip every week, to see all the oddities, historical sites (in MA, there are so many), hiked etc..... It was great. There is so much cool stuff around, everywhere. Not that I don't want to travel abroad, but it's sparked that idea we've all probably once had to travel around the country and see everything. Especially in the US where the landscape variations alone could take lifetimes to see.
Taking your kids and showing them the state you live in especially a state with so much history is a great idea. I lived in Colorado for 11 years. Every summer I made sure to visit a town and or a part of Colorado I had never been to. Turns out I've seen a lot more of Colorado then quite a few natives. Traveling around this country is awesome. I've been to all 50 states and have barely scratched the surface.
Our we ready for maskless waiters and waitresses? Not sure how excited I am for my food to be delivered to my table by someone who won’t be masked up…..

But what's the point? If you are at an indoor event and vaccinated, why does it matter if the person next to you isn't? I know businesses can operate how they want, but this seems like a stance that doesn't have a whole lot of purpose behind it besides appeasing the pro-vax crowd.

It is very good news that mask-wearing if you are vaxxed is not always necessary. Since I have an underlying condition, I'll be using my mask when I feel it's best. Be safe all.
So Bill Maher serves as a good example of the vaccine and questions surrounding it. He tested positive for COVID after getting the vaccine. As you'd expect, he doesn't feel sick at all, showing the vaccine does work. But if he wasn't tested, he wouldn't have ever known. He just had to be tested so he can do his TV show. So many of us that are vaccinated are probably walking around with the virus, and don't know it because we're not going to be getting tested. And the CDC's new guidelines very much suggest that it's now up to the unvaccinated to protect themselves.
Was out and about several places today.....we wore our masks but could at least take a breather break without getting the “plague” when we exited stores. Everyone was still wearing a mask but telling people they were vaccinated also to ensure others didn’t think they were just jerks not getting vaccinated. This seems to have caused some confusion (so what else is new). Think I’m gonna have my masks say “vaccinated but still care” to help avoid confusion. Please all stay safe because we still need to protect the young and vulnerable.
i am going to keep masking for a while, mainly indoors where i am close to people. i am vaccinated and probably do not need to, but i just feel more comfortable doing so for now.
