I could understand if what I was saying was frivolous or completely made up but I'm not the only one expressing concerns over this. They've had opportunities to make this right and they've chosen to not do so. I've been a member since 1996 so my number is low. If they want to kick me out then so be it. We have rights as consumers whether the Ten Club likes it or not.
The seats you've had with a 1996 number and you're going to go nuclear over 2 7"s that we all know will show up eventually? Hall of Fame level cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Militant opposition to smartphones, Gigaton albums as a long term financial investment holding, a possible cocaine fueled rant about double billing, seniority entitlement rants, and now the Attorney Generals Office?!? All in one week?!? And it’s not even the close of business on the west coast?!?

The Attorney Generals office???  Over a couple of 7" records.  Jesus.  Im out.
Several years??? Not being able to deliver a couple of 7'' records? Jesus.
Yeah fine. Complain to 10c but they have already stated they will deliver them. But going to the level of the attorney general’s office over it?!?  Come on. It’s (I’m assuming) one of everyone’s favorite band and we’re gonna take it to this level over a couple of records that again has been stated they will be delivered eventually?  It all sounds completely fucking ridiculous to me.

I would not do it. I'm not even really sure what an Attorney General is. And it's not a big deal to me, the actual product. It's just what it says about the band and the fanclub and them taking us for granted. That is just sad.

But I don't have a problem with anyone doing something about it. I mean, tenclubs communication and forthcomingness (if that is a word) has been subpar. Like 1 out of 5 on google reviews. Like rotten on rottentomatoes. Like thumbs down by Roger Ebert. Like, putting "a little fixin on it" isn't enough to fix their fundamental disregard of being transparent and forthcoming to the fans.

And I doubt even Big Tim B himself could argue against that.

I did not go to the Attorney General's office this second time to try and get a response from the Ten Club. I contacted them asking questions regarding specifically to consumer rights. They can't give me any specific information because that's not what they do. They chose to contact the Ten Club a second time. It's been 4 months since the last response.

Here is an excerpt from the Washington State Attorney General's office regarding what they do in this instance:

"We offer an informal complaint resolution service to Washington state residents, and to consumers with complaints about businesses located in Washington state. Through this process, we contact businesses to determine their response to consumer complaints. If a business refuses to respond or to make an adjustment, we cannot compel them to do so. We inform consumers of alternatives if our complaint resolution service is not successful.

The Attorney General's Office is authorized to bring legal action only in the name of the State of Washington, and is prohibited from serving as an attorney for individual consumers. We are further prohibited from giving advice, rendering opinions or interpretations, or conducting research on behalf of individuals or businesses."

Let's do a test. I'm gonna ring Tim B now - General Manager/Product Development/Business Development at Pearl Jam's Ten Club - to see if he has any interest in communicating about this problem that lies on his shoulders and he and his fanclub has shown zero incentive to communicate about. Unless being forced to by whatever institution a complaint was sent to.

Calling @Rubysdad -  Come in @Rubysdad  -  The fans of this fanclub you are running are calling @Rubysdad

Why are you not getting warned for your sarcasm and shitting on other members who feel an issue is serious and important. When I got banned for sarcastically writing  @cincybearcat gets a "pat on the head" in a bullshit context neither he or I cared about. Who knows. Interesting.

Maybe because he’s not contacting the attorney general’s office about something that’s going to be delivered.

If this was the case, why would the Attorney General's office contact the Ten Club a second time? They would've told me to get lost if they thought everything was on the up and up. It's clearly not!

BTW, I appreciate that you can't just walk away from this thread like you've said you were going to do. You should stand up for what you think is right just like I should.

It’s embarrassing that you’ve gotten them to contact the 10c twice.

And you are right on one thing...I can’t walk away from this ridiculousness and in some ways comedy gold.

It's embarrassing that a band would treat their most loyal fans like they have.

Holy wheez... A new album is coming and someone goes to the GA re. the christmas singles? Relax. Take a sendative. The singles will come. They always delivered. They will do so again. I think their main focus was this album now, which - if I read all the comments correctly - was a tough journey for several reasons not all known to use. (And we don't need to know.) The Christmas single, holiday single or whatever will come. The reason why they stopped them, I think has more to do with the cost of pressing vinyl than snubbing us. You have to keep in mind that this a band that (almost) have every control of their albums and the bussiness aspect. They are no longer signed to a record label. This also means they have to do things, arrange things, that record label used to do. Imagine how much works goes into organizing a tour. The singles will come. As they always did. By making this a legal matter is throwing gasoline on some smouldering ashes. First thing first, and that is a dance with clairvoyents, han an album release and a tour. The singles could be original songs (which I hope), that ended up on the cutting room floor or some live outtakes. But it will come. There is already enough pressure. Some patience is in order.

JB is undeniably correct on principle. Maybe contacting the GA is a bit much in some people's eyes, but to just say "whatever, I really like pearl jam so if they screw the pooch for YEARS on this it's fine with me" is a pretty bad take.

Sure. I’ve already stated I agree the 10c has fucked up here. But they have communicated the singles will be delivered. What more does everyone want?  Does this really warrant contacting the GAoffice?  Seriously, some common sense around here would go a long way.

Whenever I'm responsible for something lagging behind, I make sure to keep people up to date on why and where I am in the process. I consider it quite rude not to do so. If they have an investment in the thing I am to deliver.

I don't know how you do in your line of work.
