3 Eagles players last night held their fist's up during the playing of the Anthem. I think that is a better protest and less disrespectful than kneeling but that's just my opinion.

if anything that would be more disrespectful as the fists up could be a homage to the black panthers ...
the primary take away from his protest is to me is that there are too many people who put way too much importance into the anthem and too little attention to the real problems that face people ...

They're still exercising their First Amendment rights all the same, regardless of which bodily position they are in.

Well that's awesome good for him. He did say a while back he was going to give a million dollars what he's been protesting.

4. some of the first black slaves in America were owned by other blacks.

Come on, Godfather. You gotta at least be somewhat disturbed by the examples given.

He's playing Let's Deny White Privilege Exists.
I was just thinking about how much lack of understanding and denial still exists regarding blacks in America.
As I said before, I think it's great that someone like CK, being in the position he is to do so, is bringing these issues to national attention.
Pre-Civil Rights Movement, the situation with regard to racism in America was undoubtedly worse than today. By the late sixties an on into the seventies a lot of us white guys got to thinking this race issue was vastly improved. Black were more prominent in sports, music, acting, politics, etc. Things were looking up and in some ways they were but guys like me were also under some false assumptions.
The evidence for white privilege and persistent underlying racism in America cannot be swept under the carpet.
Back in the mid to late 80's I saw Jerry Brown (when he was still on fire) on a cable TV broadcast talking about how the majority of the world's population is non-white and how those non-whites are getting sick and tired of being looked down on by wealthy white first worlders. He gave us fair warning about becoming more aware of our conscious and subconscious biases. That message is starting to be heard. Colin is helping spread it.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Is the term "white privilege" racist? If so, would "black privilege" be racist?
Is there a problem? Absolutely yes. But there are plenty of homeless whites. There are white dudes being shot by the police. Do they not have "white privilege"?
One solution may be to not put a color in front of everything (I'm sure in some minds makes me racist). How about we fix the issues?

Or are they criminals... engaged in criminal activity and many of them shooting at officers to avoid being apprehended?
Just curious.
Killedbypolice.net is a good place to start, info taken from media based on police statements*.

Instead we have this mentality: There was a cop that was fired because he didn't shoot someone that he assessed was trying suicide by cop.
