cliffy, do you need a definition of the difference between correlation and metaphor?

Correlation probably wasn't the right word, but explain how those two decision making processes can be compared at all.

I can't be bothered with this shit anymore, when you come back to earth and feel like discussing the situation like a reasonable person, let me know.

I wonder if I could boost my resume by taking some shots at Sid Crosby and the Pens? Hell, it's worth a shot!

im trying to be rational here:

picture this: you have a son. he sees the most beautiful building he's ever seen...he's always wanted to go in the building but he cant until he graduates high school. he graduates HS but the the building starts smoking...the building begins to burn, the building is fucked.

would you allow him inside that building? please be honest

that is not the same thing. that is a good try but not quite. it doesn't have enough ass to be logical.

  • Hey - Pearl Jam played State College (rather famously) in 2003. While Sandusky was molesting kids. They should close Pearl Jam.

Again, a burning building and a child sex scandal? By letting my son in a burning building I would be putting him in danger, by allowing him to go to a great school, I am in now way endangering him, in fact, I am doing the opposite.

I can't figure out if you are being literal with the burning building

football program may be a sinking ship. If I had a kid that was recruited to play D1 football I would have qualms about sending him to a program in flux like PSU.

academically the school is still fine.

let's try to keep things in perspective. we don't want to sound like the person that wanted to cancel the game on saturday because it was gonna be such a dangerous environment.

I don't want to shock anyone...but every single one of us knows someone who's molested a kid. Whether you realize it or not. Do people really think this issue is that rare :? I mean I wish it were...but time to pull our heads out of the sand.

    Thank You!

I read an earlier post that stated we should change the name from Happy Valley to Rape Valley. How assinine of a comment is that? Rape and some form of child abuse takes place in every city on this planet.

There have been a lot of idiotic comments in this thread made by people who think they are experts in law, investigations, public relations, and Penn State College. Have you ever been there?

If my son chooses to attend Penn State, I fully support his decision. It is based on academics, not a sports program.

if it was a stock, the price would have been hammered already....

go take a look at CTS back in early 2010.....

fyi, they were the gas pedal manufacturer for all the "runaway" toyota's

stock dumped 25% and then gained it all back over the next couple of months as fiction was replaced with facts.

during the bp oil rupture in the gulf didn't bp's stock go through the ceiling if not right away shortly after the tragic event? i'd like to see a chart on bp's stock. i bet they are worth more now than they have ever been even though they are paying out shit tons in fines and a list of other costs.
