what is wrong with you people?

I didn't feel bad for Sadaam as much as for all the idiots who glorified in his murder.

Who sold Saddam those chemical weapons and continued to sell them to him after he gassed the Kurds?

I don't. The law does though. I wouldn't murder someone in the name of justice and the public good whether he was sane or insane.

evidently you have not read any of my posts where i CLEARLY STATED THAT I THINK STATE SANCTIONED MURDER IS WRONG...NO MATTER WHO THE CONVICTED PERSON IS OR WHAT THEY DID!!!!!!!

please review the posts in this thread because every one of the people you called out stated clearly and eloquently their opposition to the death penalty...

nothing is wrong with me, i just happen to have a different opinion from you on this issue.

like i've already mentioned, i feel the death penalty is inhumane, sick and barbaric. state-sanctioned murder is murder too. it's that simple. how any country can murder their own citizens, or anyone else for that matter, and still claim to be civilized is beyond me.

    Kinda harsh, no?

I can't help but feel like some people do not deserve to live any longer and others need to be protected from them.

But I see the point of others as well. I usually am just about to give up my support of it and then some jackass shoots his 6 month old kid in front of people. Cut and dry case...definitely guilty. And it makes it hard to say that he shouldn't be put to death.

So it sounds like you're saying your position is based on emotion then, no?

    Partially, yes.

Not entirely. The other part is based on reality that someone that can shoot a 6 month old, etc has no business living and is putting other people at risk each minute they remain alive.

it is true, i was not surprised by their responses.

the ones against the death penalty cannot accept that they are falling short.
they are wrong yet they are not.
    it is hard to explain.

the death penalty will always exist.
    i like that idea.
others do not like that idea.

    weird deal.
so we have long drawn out debates.
    it is time consuming.

    one thing is for sure.
somewhere, someone is harming innocent ppl.
    somewhere, someone needs put down.

    basically human beings are cockroaches.
and if you believe you are above a cockroach i suggest looking around at this mess only a human being could have done.

but i do love this life.
matter of fact i even love you.

  • ed, it's one thing to be for the death penalty. it's another matter entirely to fantasize about it in the manner that Chadwick does.

if I was writing about letting the murderers roam free to dance in the meadows and smelling the flowers, you'd think I was fucked up.
