and life in prison...many people have escaped and killed and even if they don't the cost to house a inmate a year is a butt load of money and guess who pays for that, you know when a animal attacks or even kills a human that animal is killed and most people agree with that..a animal with animal instincts to survive vs. a human with the power of reason "wright and wrong" is given 20 years to life or life with out parol where that person is fed and housed with t.v a gym and even a job to earn money to spend in the prison store...no justice some would say.
as for me i honestly don't know if it's o.k to take a human life for any reason..I really don't know ?

    Godfather.

    exactly...
people will cage & whip a tiger or an elephant for some bullshit circus.
when that tiger or elephant snaps and attacks and injures or kills someone they put the tiger or elephant down.
beating a caged tiger, beating a caged elephant forcing them to do fun tricks.
    yeah, that's fantastic.
i can't wait to be part of that.

feed the bad people to hungry tigers.
use the remains for the elephant to crap on.
    easy as that.

btw, i love tigers and elephants
the worst tigers and the worst elephants on earth are better than the worst ppl on earth by a landslide.

Haven't been on this post for a while so i haven't read all the pages but i did see people talking about how executing someone costs million of dollars? I don't get this. If putting the person to rest by injection is so expensive why not just shoot the piece of shit? Bullets are not that expensive.

    Godfather.

someone should not be killed for their crime because it's not anyone's right to decide the fate of anyone else. that's it.

so we should kill all convicted killers/rapists/pedophiles just out of fear for society? wow, better get the needles ready, there's gonna be a long line up.

Fact: it cost more money in the judicial process to put someone to death than it is for a life sentence.

I don't know who you are talking to, but I don't know many, if any, people that agree with putting down a circus animal that goes crazy. If anything, I'm cheering on the brute as it mauls its trainer (see: abuser). Humans capture wild animals and beat them into performing for our own amusement, the thing goes nuts, for GOOD FUCKING REASON, and we blame the animal and kill it. See how stupid that is? Just as stupid capital punishment.

it's not the act of killing someone that costs the money. it's the endless appeals and the waste of court time and money to exhaust all avenues to "make sure they got the right guy".

i am assuming it's the legal dealings that tie up the court system.
    see, it's always the lawyers.

    Depends who they are.

I would say sombody like Jeff Dahlmer isn't worth spending a whole lot of money on.

If someone killed a child of yours or a child you are close to....how much monetary value would you put on their life?

good question, more kill for money than any other reason so why should we spare a life for a life that was taken for money, and your question is opinion based, is there a dollar value on human emotion ?.....who said money can't buy you love.

it comes into the equation when pro-DPers try to say it's cheaper to kill the convict, my point is that it actually isn't. But like I said before, even if it was free to put them to death, that's still no reason to do so.

my children are priceless. their worth is immeasurable to me. but that doesnt mean i want a murderer dead. nor does it mean i have the right to seek vengeance.

  • you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. have you ever seen what the life of an inmate is actually like? there are many out there that believe that even locking people up is inhumane, but it's the only solution we have at the moment.

the only ones that are "not too far off" a Hilton as you put it, are the ones that Martha Stewart stayed in. That's white collar criminal minor offenses, nothing that would warrant a life sentence or the death penalty.
