Well, I think the Police were an okay 80s band, but no tour for me...100 bucks man...I'd rather see PJ twice...

I just don't know about this...

IMO, once any band gets back-up singers, they've "jumped the shark"..

The Police were cool up until the Sychronicty tour, but the backup singers ruined the whole expereince for me..

Made the songs sound cheesey...(especially "So Lonely")

I cringe just thinking about it..

I'm glad DMB dumped the idea after the 2001 tour..(That sucked!)

If there are no back-up singers, this tour may entice me..

Back-up singers are a deal killer though..

Their definitive performance was captured in disc 1 of their live CD...

I threw away the companion disc that's included from the sychroncity tour..

that's how much i hated that version of the Police..

sting addressed this very issue at the press conference yesterday.

only the 3 of them will be on the stage

only police material- there were too many sdongs to cover ,

and absolutely no backup singers .

they have this online to view if you had the time

wow

todays presales have begun and supposebly the fenway park tickets ( for the best buy reward zone people ) are already sold out .

hopefully theyll add more for the fanclub sales- i dont see how they couldnt for the fanclub .

its fucked that your 100 bucks doesnt get you tickets before the bestbuy people,........wtf ?

You know, I was pretty pumped to see these guys. But a quick scan of ebay, seeing people trying to sell presale passwords for $300-500, and tickets from brokers at $1K or more apiece....what a clusterfuck.

If I don't get decent seats via a presale, I won't be going. Who the fuck buys these broker tickets anyway? Hell, I have to spend an additional $500 or so in travel, because they won't be coming to KC, unless it's when they are rumored to return in late 2007, and the new Sprint Center is open here.

All those whiny fuckers complaining about the 10C...take a look at this fiasco.

And people wonder why I only listen to PJ and Ben Harper religiously...

funny too, i e-mailed my sister yesterday to tell her about the tour, etc....she and i went to my first concert together, the police, back in 1984? i believe. all these years i thought it was in philly....and she reminded me...it was in atlantic city.

hahaha. i remember the show, the feeling...but yea...forgot minor details, as in, where i was.

ahhhhhhhhhh....young and too many extracurricular actitivities i guess.

and since we are all weighing in how old we were in 1979

...i turned 11 the end of that year.

being out of work i was unable to purchase this fanclub membership . :(

a good friend is joining / has joined and is hooking me up ( he might not even know it yet )

these tickets will go in a jiffy i believe, as only 2 nights at MSG will be gone in a blink, especially after best buy presales and then fanclub presales.( whats left ? ) then general public sales on the 20th- so we still need to wait a bit more :eek:

oh yeah and there is still as of yet announced tour stops in philly , as well as hartford , all definitely do-able for us NYers.

will keep eyes/ears open,.....:eek:

90 minutes till the MSG /Fenway presales ,....

anyone will be able to try for these, ticketbastard is adding the fanclub mmbership to the website after you see the seats they're offering , ...so you can see exactly what your 100 bucks gets you ( as far as tickets )

A friend called yesterday and said he would give me the Best Buy presale as he didn't want it. Or waited too long. Either way when we checked for tix they had one section down from side stage at the top of the first section for 225$ each. Ah yeah! Thank you PJ for keeping things in a world for the working class.

Hope I get lucky on Saturday for tix that are priced accordingly.

I hear ya Andy. But when I checked the seating chart and seen what 225 was going to get me. I could not believe it. I would rather pay that price to sit directly opposite of the stage then beside it. But that is a sound issue with me.

my buddy tried for fenway, lost out

wound up getting 4 upstairs , all the way opposite the stage at msg's friday show.

i'd be happy to score 2 for either msg show.

Fenway has been a joke.
I had a Best Buy password and never saw a seat.
Anybody who continues to criticize 10Club needs to be forced to join the Cops' fan club for $100 for a shot at seats to one show, and then get shut out during the presale.
