You had to be a member by 2/1. :(
And to get presale passwords through the fanclub/ticketmaster you need to pay an extra $100

do people actually pay for presale passwords off Ebay? They're popping up there.

    this weekend the sales begin.

have we heard or seen schedule yet ?

wheres the official police website at , anywhere ? - or do you need to go thru stings website ?

    thanks for any help

i am convinced these " limited presales " are just a gimick to sell all the less desirable seats first, then they can be sure the show(s) will sell out at general onsales to the public .

After puking my guts out all night with stomach flu the only thing that kept me alive this morning was these boys getting back together. I actually got a little tear in my eye when Sting said "We will be touring". Sorry if this rambling but I'm in a little bit of a daze.

    really psyched about this.

watching / listening to the session from earlier today again, and it was really shocking to hear sting say it will only be the 3 of them onstage , and it will only be Police material .
There are too many songs to go thru on that alone Sting acknowledged.

The little tirade from Stewart about " setlists " was quite amusing. ( " setlists are for amateurs- we have no idea what we are going to play " or something close to that ) very enjoyable.

Andy is cracking jokes the entrie time also,

still after all these years, it was nice to see and hear them joking openly & candidly , right in front of the entire world .

another interesting thing i found on the news section of the new site :

looks like Stings son is the frontman for his own band, and they will be opening up for The Police on the just announced NA tourdates( so no pearl jam :( )

    The Police

Special guest Fiction Plane will join The Police for the North American portion of the tour. Known for their high-energy live shows, this dynamic rock trio will be releasing their 2nd full length album in May. Fiction Plane are: Joe Sumner (Bass); Seton Daunt (Guitar); Pete Wilhoit (Drums). Additional support artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

As a PREMIUM member of ThePoliceTour.com you can purchase tickets for one show on the tour with a limit of up to 4 tickets.

If you buy less than the maximum limit of tickets, the remainder does not carry over to additional shows or transactions. Ticket quantities may vary based on availability. The reason for this ticket limit is so we can ensure more fans have access to presale tickets.

this also enables a fan " memeber " to get 4 , only use 2, sell the other 2 .

How spoiled are we by 10C to be able to go to as many shows on a tour as we want.

I agree that 100.00 is alot, and for only 1 stop on the tour .

U2 fanclub did the same thing, only you were able to purchase 1 show in NA , as well as 1 show in Europe, i believe also up to 4 in europe( stadia ) , and 2 in US ( arenas ) .

my buddy bought a membership without hesitation , hopfully he'll help me out with a friday garden ticket .

I just don't know about this...

IMO, once any band gets back-up singers, they've "jumped the shark"..

The Police were cool up until the Sychronicty tour, but the backup singers ruined the whole expereince for me..

Made the songs sound cheesey...(especially "So Lonely")

I cringe just thinking about it..

I'm glad DMB dumped the idea after the 2001 tour..(That sucked!)

If there are no back-up singers, this tour may entice me..

Back-up singers are a deal killer though..

Their definitive performance was captured in disc 1 of their live CD...

Just the three of them at the Orpheum Theater in Boston in 1979..

I threw away the companion disc that's included from the sychroncity tour..

that's how much i hated that version of the Police..

sting addressed this very issue at the press conference yesterday.

only the 3 of them will be on the stage

only police material- there were too many sdongs to cover ,

and absolutely no backup singers .

they have this online to view if you had the time

You know, I was pretty pumped to see these guys. But a quick scan of ebay, seeing people trying to sell presale passwords for $300-500, and tickets from brokers at $1K or more apiece....what a clusterfuck.

If I don't get decent seats via a presale, I won't be going. Who the fuck buys these broker tickets anyway? Hell, I have to spend an additional $500 or so in travel, because they won't be coming to KC, unless it's when they are rumored to return in late 2007, and the new Sprint Center is open here.

All those whiny fuckers complaining about the 10C...take a look at this fiasco.

And people wonder why I only listen to PJ and Ben Harper religiously...
