    Cool.  Ms. Watts had built an impressive network (but never made her cause digestible to enough voters to matter for her cause on Election Day) but her focus on the house says a lot about dems lack of big picture focus.

    You’re so right. The House means nothing in the political system. I can’t believe anyone cares who has 50% of the branches in a bicameral system. 

    And of course your last paragraph points out the one immutable law in politics, business and life: you can only do one thing at a time. No way can a party try to win the House AND try “to identify why the party is shrinking”. One of the other.

    The senate SHOULD be up for grabs next year. Losing those three red seats, and the dems sprinting to the AOC Bernie wing of the party, I don’t see how that’s possible. Without the senate, not sure what the dems will ever accomplish, especially since they can not shut down the govt to get their budgets thru. They will always need gop votes.

    There are enough reasonable GOP votes in the senate to keep the govt functioning.

    Maybe you can explain why Trump declined to extend FEMA funding in NC since it’s so bad that a MD senator should be in NC rather than supporting a resident of his state whose husband is illegally detained. 

    Then you can explain what crime the man was convicted of, because as far as I have read, there is no crime. And if there is no crime then you can explain why you are posting bullshit here.

    The senator that flew to El Salvador was doing so on behalf of one of his constituents, whose husband (never been convicted of a crime),  is jailed with no way out.  So no, that statement isn't "justified", it's bullshit.  And you've now lost your ability to see through bs and false equivalency.

    The Brandon administration was on the ground offering assistance and the repub conspiracy machine convinced folks not to sign up or take advantage of FEMA assistance. Something about a gubmint plot to steal their land. Only 17% of those eligible for FEMA assistance signed up. Regarding infrastructure, you get what you vote for.
