^ that site and Apple music have misprinted the words in Mrs. Mills to "every guitar gets it's own song", rather than "suitor" enhancing the double entendre of Ed's song "about women's empowerment" (Ed & the Boss interview).

Funny how fans can change the meaning of songs such Brother the Cloud pertaining to Chris Cornell rather than Ed's brother. If I were an interviewer, I'd cut to the heart of matters like these.

Every lyrics site is crazy and the craziness spreads from site to site, like a virus Mr Anderson. Just look up the lyrics for Peter LeMarc’s ”Här kommer din älskling”. What is going on.

  • Watched the interview with Bruce this afternoon.  The stories behind the songs really opened my eyes to this album.  Wasn’t a fan of the haves as a single but listening to Eddie speak of Venice beach and what it’s become I have a hard time listening to that song and not tearing up now.   I may be biased as I have been since Alive video hit MTV but this is a great rock album.

    Cheers

So the consensus so far is that it is meh, but great, uninspired but breaking new ground, It is both the best thing he has done solo and also the worst. Got it.

Well, I googled Eleanor Rigby and under that video link by the Beatles, @Veddhedd, I noticed EV has lyric videos, if you're into accuracy.

Gave it a listen today.  Made it two songs in.  Immediately cancelling my vinyl preorder and possibly trading off my first press thingy. Won’t be listening to this ever again.

Brother the Cloud is 100% about CC. And also his own brother.

I honestly don’t know if I can put myself through it again, lol!  It’s just so boring. Just emailed 10c to cancel my vinyl order. I’ll wait a few days and try to give it a start at track 4.  Personally I’m just so meh towards him these days, feel like all the reasons I fell so hard into these guys in the early 90’s is gone and the new stuff just doesn’t rock at all- definitely not interested in Pearl Jam or Eddie leaning towards pop.  If they don’t rock or lean alternative, I just can’t do it.
