When do we get to start attacking Biden for his handling of COVID? We're getting closer everyday to more COVID deaths under Biden than Trump. The big difference is that Biden has a vaccine when Trump did not yet people are still dying. How's that plan working out "buck stops with me" Joe?

    lol
man i haven't seen a post get this dunked on in a while.

reminds me of the constant dunking on trump's tweets lol
Well I guess my only response to this would be, LETS GO BRANDON!

come on now. Biden is putting plans in place to protect americans and R's are fighting him every step of the way. so it's joe's fault when R's are killing their own constituents?
I know plenty of D's that are refusing to take the vaccine. If you keep calling them R's, they won't be D's for long.

You're correct, there are Democrats who refuse.  But it is R govs and politicians that have made anti-vax, anti-mask an actual platform.  That is completely different than some guy you know that votes D but refuse the vaccine.

92% of Democrats are fully vaccinated compared to 56% Republicans.

    Yet another disingenuous argument.

Nice pivot to governors like you did? How many R governors have you seen enforce rules upon their constituents but then don't live by those rules themselves? There have been many D governors that made rules for the people but then disregard those rules for themselves.

how did I pivot to governors? you claimed this was biden's fault; I disagreed and said it falls quite heavily on the hands of R governors for fighting his mandates to keep people safe. it's the same topic. your "savior" democrat had nothing to do with what we were talking about.

yes, there have been hypocritical D governors. gavin newsom probably the most famous one (and he apologized, something R governors generally don't do). I don't dispute that.

show me an R governor that makes rules that may inconvenience him/herself for the good of society and I'll show you a hypocrite who doesn't follow it.

So you think Biden is not doing enough to stop the virus?  What more do you think he should be doing that would make a difference?  I think if you asked all of us in 2020 what more Trump could do, we'd have about 50 answers.  So I'm curious where you think Biden needs more aggressive policies.

The difference is that people still blame Trump for the COVID deaths that happened under his admin but Biden does not get that same judgement.

Biden has more knowledge and tools to fight COVID than Trump ever did yet more people are dying under Biden.

It's frustrating to see the little to no criticism towards Biden. Facepalm all you want, facts are facts.

Instead of the disingenuous deflecting, how about attempting to answer Russell's question of what you think Biden should be doing differently?

Near as I can tell, the way to mitigate the spread prior to vaccines was to mask up and socially distance ourselves and republicans largely objected to that.

Now that there are vaccines out, the way to end the virus is to...you know...get the vaccine but republicans are largely against that as only 56% of them are vaccinated verses 92% of democrats. A lot of republicans have even turned to horse dewormer drugs, among other things, as an alternative.

If republicans would have just put on their big boy pants and wore a mask and the gotten the vaccine as soon as they were able to, this would likely be behind us by now .

So what should Biden be doing differently? How do you get through to these people who seem to not want to accept reality?

I certainly don't think deaths under Trump would have been zero and no rational person would think such a thing.  The issue was Trump's constant, consistent and ongoing downplaying of the pandemic.  His refusal to consistently support his health team's social health recommendations and his sidelining of the health officials throughout 2020.  The question is, had Trump supported and was aligned with his public health officials, could we have avoided having the death toll that we had?  I think the number would have been lower had he led his base.  He didn't.  The base led him as always.

    That ain't true.

The higher the mountains, the worse the situation. The very worst the pandemic ever was in the United States to-date, in terms of numbers of active cases, and deaths, was during the last two months of Trump's (shit)show.

Another thing - Trump had no vaccines and also no variants, Biden had vaccines - but the variants came around the same, bringing higher transmissibility and mortality rates, so it's a very incomplete comparison unless you have some concept of the relative influence of those two.

When do we get to start attacking Biden for his handling of COVID? We're getting closer everyday to more COVID deaths under Biden than Trump. The big difference is that Biden has a vaccine when Trump did not yet people are still dying. How's that plan working out "buck stops with me" Joe?

come on now. Biden is putting plans in place to protect americans and R's are fighting him every step of the way. so it's joe's fault when R's are killing their own constituents?
I know plenty of D's that are refusing to take the vaccine. If you keep calling them R's, they won't be D's for long.

I was referring to the governors (hence the phrase " killing their own constituents"). I haven't seen any D governors refusing mandates of any kind.
Not yet but we do have D Governors claiming to be saviors. https://www.yahoo.com/now/inslee-only-person-saving-lives-200000912.html

"There is only one person in the state of Washington who has the capability to save those lives right now, and it happens to be the governor of the state of Washington," Inslee said Wednesday.

    nice pivot.
Nice pivot to governors like you did? How many R governors have you seen enforce rules upon their constituents but then don't live by those rules themselves? There have been many D governors that made rules for the people but then disregard those rules for themselves.

Not only D governors do this, our own president does this: https://news.yahoo.com/video-biden-walking-ritzy-dc-183400056.html

That photo is outside the restaurant.  That's in Georgetown and they have palms surrounding the entrance.

The video looks like it is inside.

    Yes, that looks inside.

So you think Biden is not doing enough to stop the virus?  What more do you think he should be doing that would make a difference?  I think if you asked all of us in 2020 what more Trump could do, we'd have about 50 answers.  So I'm curious where you think Biden needs more aggressive policies.
The criticism, and the reason JB shared the link, was an example of leaders not following their own rules.
I don’t know what else Biden could do, I wouldn’t say he’s not doing enough. But if a mask is required indoors at a restaurant, it does appear he’s not following it this time.
