this was my second pj gig and it was a perfect setlist for that. my first was athens and i got most of the hits there, this time it was completely different and just in two shows, i heard most of the songs i wanna hear.

but i wouldn't want this to be my first show, it's a pretty rough setlist for a first show. most of us wanna hear black, jeremy, even flow etc. in our first ever pj gig :)

btw, playing present tense, state, why go, save you, and porch back to back was just too mean. i nearly had an heart attack :) can't wait for the boot

Fantastic gig! Who got to drink from Eddies wine?

Highlights for me = crazy mary and indifference. Still got the indifference guitar doodle stuck in my head.

Slightly disappointed that they didn't play Black, as they didn't play it the first time I saw them (Reading), but hopefully i'll finally hear it at Werchter!

The first time I felt like an ethnic minority at a gig in my home country. Everyone I met or heard talkng was from a different country! It shows what kind of a loyal and international fan base pearl jam have!

Brisbane night 1 last year was the best form I've seen PJ in. Also the best setlist.

Before you rag on me, I'll let you know that I appreciated the 'list tonight, too - very much. Especially Present Tense.

    But Brisbane was better.

I'll buy the Wembley bootleg if it's made available. In the meantime, I'd be happy to trade a Wembley audience recording for something I've got (PM me).

First week in the UK after moving from Australia. Pretty good start, I reckon.

    Thanks PJ.

I was shouting "Kenneth!" People were looking at me, as if to say, "Who the fuck is Kenneth?"

  • lucky fuckin pricks- that setlists looks gold

  • Great set, great night but the sound was pretty bad I thought with echo coming off the high structure on the rockier tracks. Its a shame they didn't play Manchester arena as the sound there is far superior. Set list was great for fanatics wanting to hear something different but in all honesty some of the songs like bu$hleaguer might have been better left out of the set, love the song to bits but not live.
New stuff sat well and the rarities were nice to hear. As far as the performance for a PJ set is concerned it was average (killer if it was any other band) Unfortunately they have set the bar so high for themselves due to the standards set in previous shows. Don't want to sound negative as I enjoyed the night so so much but certainly not one of the best I've seen.
Reading 2006 was definately better for me.
  • My 4th PJ gig. This just seemed the happiest. Indifference with the lights up at the end with everyone swaying, waving and singing was really moving. I was pleased to see lots of songs for the first time. The only song I really missed was black. I can never tire of hearing that song.

I was hanging around near the back, but this was the first time I could actually see the band pretty well. The wembley floor seemed less packed out than 2000 - maybe you were all packed into the front!

My friend who is a distinctly unconverted fan really enjoyed it too. He loved SOLAT, Comatose and rocking in the Free world. Where we were, we both thought the sound was really good and full throughout.

I was more emotional at Dublin, but more lifted tonight - there was a great atmosphere in the crowd and a sense of occasion from the band.

My high point had to be faithfull, but there was a great run of songs early on.

    ECHOES! We all believe it!

i'm not saying it was a bad show on any accounts. the band were on fire completely and every song was played perfectly but the sound in the arena really stopped it from being their best in my opinion. good to see a more club orientated setlist though, i just wouldn't want to be the casual fan at that gig.

couldn't get a poster either, rage, so if anyone has any spare hit me up = ) *goes to trade thread*
    heh, keep her lit.

:D Sounds like you have the same sort of relationship with your brother that I have with mine.
  • Just woken up, im f&*ked if I can hear a thing! PJ show number 4 for me and the best by a country mile!

Up front McCready side, sound was a bit muffled throughout but that did'nt spoil anything for me. The atmosphere was amazing! Met up with some legends in the ten club que, who by the way if your reading this im Mr O'Leary!!! Ha!

Great setlist, great night and will live long in the memory. Lets hope this aint the last time we see them in the UK!
