I love people getting bent out of shape over the value of a $20/year membership. I’ve seen people spend over $20 at Starbucks.

The ticket rejection pain is real.

Right. I received the password so wouldn't that be the unique identifier??? You get a password, you should be able to get tickets. Simple as that
What's to stop anyone from just putting in random numbers then? Need to marry it up with a valid email address. A specific, valid email address associated with the 10C account.
Seriously? There were 5 numbers in the password. You know how many different combinations there are? Also, if you received confirmation from Ticketstoday, then everything should be fine. Why send confirmation if everything doesn't add up??
Yeah, seriously on the first question. You weren't provided a unique link that contained any user IDs. You needed to enter in the email address associated with the 10C Presale Code you were given, otherwise it could look like someone else was just using your code.

On the second question, not sure, but I imagine it's because there wasn't a system check prior to submission. TM's system and 10C's systems probably aren't connected.

I dont think you could submit the form if the 10c email section was blank? If I recall correctly it was a required field.

Makes sense to make sure you didnt sell your code.
  • I'm sick of seeing the word "seniority".
    Why is that? Explain.

Sharing again...because so many posts....just beg for it.

It just sucks that so many people want GA. As I posted in another thread, I haven't been able to get GA since 2003 and it's pissing me off, especially since I've been a 10club member since 1996. Yes, I'm older, but I'm fit as hell and want to have fun in GA. I have my fingers and everything else I can cross that I la
Sorry that you have not hit yet and hope you hit now.
So many do put in for GA, so yeah.  Your age or long time membership have nothing to do with it, but I hope you can get it today.
I did it for Missoula in a roundabout way but never actually put in for GA.  Way (way!) worse odds and screws with my main objective, to get in the building.  This necessitates that I pick Reserved.

Yep - exactly what you were promised though so this shouldn't be news.
Great business model. We'll automatically take money out of your account each year, make you believe you're accumulating seniority by staying a member....but then we slowly take away all the benefits you originally signed up for in the first place, take your money and give you nothing of value in return.  I feel like I'm enrolled in Trump University.
The business model works since you keep handing them money. You don't have to. Honestly man, I'm bummed they don't rub my back when I buy a Big Mac but I'm not going to complain about it - I know what comes with the Big Mac.

I don't know about your McDonald's experience - but usually when I order a Big Mac...I get one.

Serious question Gonzo...Do you think only the earliest 10c members should get tickets?  So if a ton of members want tickets to the same show the ones that have signed up in recent years shouldn't get tickets through the fan club?

Yeah I am pretty sure I used my tenclub email the first time. When I changed my show preferences, I don't remember if I had to put info in again or it automatically populated. I received a confirmation from Ticketstoday so that should be enough... Whether it is or not....

10C memberships have not included guaranteed concert tickets for a long time. I honestly don't remember when they did. The issue here is not the 10C membership benefits, it's your expectations.

I wish I could agree with the "wow", but I completely expected it and more will be pouring in. "I DEMAND YOU TELL ME WHY..." I guess they can write a scathing Yelp review?

I am trying to remember if I did that as well and have no idea. I remember putting my email when I first signed up, but after that, I changed my show choices a few times. I have no idea if I had to go thru the whole billing process again or not? and if so, if I put in my tenclub or ticketmaster email. Either way, it should NOT affect tickets. If so, that is ridiculous. Once you get your passcode, you should be able to buy tickets, simple as that
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was in the instructions, man. They need a unique identifier for you. Don't know what else to say.

Until people who arent going to put in for tickets give out their password to non members. I think that was the point of the email verification.

Great! so as I now understand this system....neither seniority, time of request, show or seat preference have anything to do with getting Pearl Jam tickets at your local show. It's now truly a lottery system, and being a 10 club member for over 25 years, means you get a T-shirt and an email every once in a while about various charities and heads up about vault shows that you can buy from the 10 club for a higher price than on Amazon. Nice !!
It's been this way a long time
Never had an issue getting tickets before
So you missed out on tickets once and now think the membership that got you tickets every time before has little/no value?
Exactly. What is the value of a 10 club membership now? A chance to play the lottery?
Yes.  If thousands of 10c members want tickets to the same show why should they all not have the same opportunity?
    Thats exactly how it works

    SENIORITY
  • Anyone know why picking GA only lessens your chance of being selected even when it was 99% odds, and does member number come into play at all (under 420,000)?  I picked one show (Quebec City) GA only (99%) and was not selected, very bummed!

Reason that doesn't make sense is, once you use that password to get in and put in for 2 tickets, that password can never be used again. At least common sense tells me that's the way it should be. Having an email tied to that password really shouldn't be the identifying factor.
