Anyone watch CNN “the movies” last 2 weeks

    Pretty good
Just watched 90’s part 2 and 2000’s. Very enjoyable, lots of oohs & ahhs.
Tom Hanks has done a nice job with these cnn miniseries....he did the decades too......the music, theme sucks me in..

I’ll definitely check out the Decades series once the Movies are done. It’s a lot to catch up on though, 35 shows in total. Maybe I’ll be done by end of year.

I wasn't searching for it, but came upon Taking Lives on Netflix the other night, so we gave it a shot.

A good watch, entertaining at the time.

Dunkirk - Good movie but it was definitely different.  No real dialogue or story line.  You just were kinda following a battle.
Yes... I liked that they did that. It stood apart. Although I watch it in D-Box, so I'm sure that really impacted my experience a lot with this film. It was a pretty perfect movie for D-Box!

    Masterpiece.
It's amazing. And it just might have the best death scene in movie history.

That is Tina. The first girl killed by Freddy Krueger. I don't dare to post a gif from her actual death on here because I don't really know if the "all ages forum" thing would allow it on here.

    Big Night

Such a good movie, although it is not a fast paced one.
    Beautiful food, great writing/acting/directing.

Had been too long since I watched.  Viewed something which referenced it last week and am glad it reminded me to watch again.

Love Big Night, and love The Impostors even more.
Good call, I don't recall liking it more than Big Night, but I am going to add The Imposters to my list to re-watch in the near future.  Funny movie.
Loved Big Night. Never saw The Imposters. I'm slacking.

I don’t want to say to much because others haven’t seen it, but just ok for me.
I seen Hateful 8 when it first came out and thought that was just ok. I rewatched it last year and liked it better. I don’t see that happening with this film.
Im not dying to see it again. Django, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards, I could watch those everyday, although it’s probably not fair to compare.

I understand! We’re supposed to see it this weekend but I’m going to wait to hear how much content is strong graphic violence... then decide.
Is Reservoir Dogs on your could watch everyday list? Brilliant film!

Ha, I was actually going to watch that again sometime soon because I’ve only seen it once years ago, but I remember liking it.

I personally feel like Reservoir Dogs is a one-time-only great film. I think only the first watch is really worth it. After that, it has SO much less impact.

Yeah, I think I seen this after I seen Pulp Fiction for the first time, so it will be interesting to revisit it after so long. I think I remember not liking it as much, maybe why I never watched it again. Im not like a huge movie buff or whatever, but I like Tarantino’s movies.  Pulp Fiction blew my fucking mind. I think Inglorious Bastards and Jango are equally as good.
