I need a redo on chili. Did it a couple weeks ago and tried to make it bland enough the baby could have some and I didn’t have enough time to soak the beans so they were way too firm. Failed pretty good.0

Nice. Crock pots are the greatest cooking devices ever. Mine has something in it at least 3 days a week. The Juggler said:And these folks got to know each other in the crock pot overnight. Can’t wait for dinner

I'll have the check them out next time I'm up that way. According to a comment on a recent Instagram post, they have a storefront in the works.rgambs said:

Interesting - looks good! I admit I'm surprised you put hard boiled eggs in there. Would it not work to just crack a raw egg in each one instead? Or is there a leaking concern about doing that or something?

I think we have argued this before but give me Felix's over ACME all day. Both are touristy, but Felix's has a much better and low key vibe to me. Get a spot at a bar, get some beers (many), get the char grilled gator, make friends with the shuckers and you'll have yourself a good time. They'll just be shucking them and popping them on the bar in front of you. If you made a good friend, you will be very pleasantly surprised with your bill.F Me In The Brain said:eddiec said:Anybody that has been to New Orleans have any food recs? Also, there is a great crawfish spot on Decatuer near Coop's. I don't know the name, but you'll see them boiling the mud bugs near the window. Nice and spicy seasoning. Make a mess of yourself0
