Well 'Gardenia' sounded pretty damn cool, looking forward to hearing the rest of the record now.

I didn't realise it's an Iggy album, produced by and featuring Josh, until Colbert showed the sleeve

I really dug it too. Somehow it reminded me a lot of Bowie. And they all looked so sharp!

I did get the "Bowie vibe" from the song. Song was ok, I'm not really an Iggy fan though. I probably would go to the show but mainly cause Josh and Matt are in the group.

Thanks Croos for pointing out that Matt was on drums, didn't realize that  Where in the suburbs of philly are you from?

Hey Dave. I live in Huntingdon Valley now, but spent quite a lot of time in West Chester in the mid nineties with friends that went to WCU. A lot of drunken nights at 512 Walnut street, the Rat and Jakes!
  • Cool song, great bass sound. Josh can do no wrong. Keep making music.

I kind of like the song, but it does sound so much like a Bowie song that it was distracting.

Really want to go to this when they come to LA, especially since it's the day after my birthday, but was planning on traveling that day for the MSG shows. Looks like an early morning Friday flight for me!

The Bowie vibe is intentional, I read an article somewhere, Rollingstone online I think where they said this new album is a sort of extension of Iggy's albums 'Lust For Life' and 'The Idiot', both of those were produced by David Bowie...

I have the impression that a lot of artists are skipping Vancouver lately because it's become SO difficult to cross the border and they don't want the hassle. The reason I suspect this is because pretty much every single act I've seen that has crossed the border in the past 2 or 3 years have actually commented on stage about what a pain in the ass it was to cross (not that it's necessarily the case for this particular show, but it reminded me of it). Not cool. Canada Customs should consider this factor and work on how they deal with performers trying to come and entertain Canadians.
