    Cat saves child from dog attack! (video!). Wow, that is awesome! Way to go, cat!!! =D> (now wtf happens to that fucking owner who let the dog out alone?! It looks like it was hunting for children!).

    Ya it's going to be an adjustment that for sure. Luckily I know the people who have to give her up (allergies :( ) and have a good idea of her personality and I know my kitties and I think we will be ok. She is also only about a year old so still young enough I think.

    Best of luck! We're still thinking about getting a second kitty as well. We are renovating a house right now and once we moved and settled in, we will give it another thought. I am working from home, so I see what our kitty does the whole day. And I can see that she is bored. When I am busy, I cannot play with her the whole day. I think she would beneft from having a pal. But we'll have to see. First we have to get the house ready to move in and her adjusted to the new surroundings :)

    I introduced cats before (one has since died). It wasn't too hard but toon a couple weeks before i felt comfortable leaving them together unsupervised. You just need to keep them separated and introduce them gradually with positive reinforcement. One thing I did that seemed to make the most difference was separate them by glass (like a sliding glass door) so they can both see each other, and then feed them treats and pet them while they are one opposite sides of the glass. This gets them to relate one another to good things while easing the stress they feel being in the same room together.

    Thank you I'm hoping for the best, my kitty has lived with another cat about eight yrs ago and it was good so I'm hoping she will be good with the new member of the household.
