Mine yells at me. It's not so much conversation as me begging her to shut up.

Love Jackson!! Jealous of Hedo for getting to
Meet him! When Imeet him I'll have met all my
Animal Heros, save for Steve Irwin! I've met and worked with Tom Callahan,( the Priginal Horsewhisperer, the guy the book of same title was written about.) Buck Brannonman, ( another one), Jane Goodall five years before she died, and Cesar Millan. Now I just have to
Meet Tia Torres, and Jackson Galaxy, and my animal Heros Wishlist will be as complete as it can be..

Isn't Jane Goodall still alive...? It actually happens to be her birthday today. She was one of my first heroes. What an amazing lady.

She was one of my heroes too samjam. She still does lots of speaking engagements. I keep checking her calendar to see if she ever comes close by. I would love to hear her speak. She travels much of the year and started an active program called Roots and Shoots, a youth-led community action group, a wing of the Jane Goodall institute. Because of her, my childhood dream was to study wildlife biology, but I switched to a nursing major at the last minute when my practical side won the argument in my head. But I will always have tons of respect for this incredible woman.
And the sun it may be shining . . . but there's an ocean in my eyes

Practical side? What's that?? Lol! When I met her in 1990, it was for a cultural sciences program, that was the initial course to all the wacky Animal Psychology courses I would take. Her study of chimps I learned were the foundation to my field of study.. I almost left my study to go to Africa.. But there was no way I could afford it. It was hard enough just paying for school. But she was so nice, and has the most entrancing speaking voice! ( I
Might have been a bit biased though).. Lol

Ha! I stepped in the Beans' puke a few mornings ago - with bare feet AND it got in between my toes. While still in the dark.

Good stuff! And cheers to Sid!

I've nearly broken my neck slip/sliding on cat puke I didn't see. When the light is off the hallway floor is the same color as my cat, and it hides his puke too well. I slid into the wall once so hard it left a bruise.32

I don't currently have a kitty but finally have something to contribute to this thread I lurk in... My mom called me this morning to tell me that she had accidentally hit snooze on her phone alarm this morning and then jumped in the shower thinking the alarm was off. When she got out, her phone alarm was of course going off and her cat was standing over the phone staring at it and pawing at it like "shut this thing off already!" I thought that was amusing. Luke is his name and he's clearly a genius feline. I miss having a cat but do not miss stepping in puke first thing in the morning.

better than stepping in cat poop (which i have done more so than puke). Unfortuantely one of my cat's seems to go to the bathroom on the carpet. She does use the liter box but I think she can't control i sometime. It's always in "liquid" form and she never pee's on the floor so that's a plus.
