Captain Fuzzykins is officially part of our family now.

Well, we went to the vet again with Mr. Pickles today and it turned out that he still has fluids in his lungs. So the diuretic didn't really help. The vet says it is very probable that he has a heart issue. Since he is still so young and it is already that bad, there is nothing really much that we can do. So we will take care of him as best as we can to make his remaining time wonderful and snuggly and cosy. Eventually his breathing will get really worse and he would suffocate. Before that happens, we will have to put him to sleep. It is terribly hard to see him suffering
We are devastated and the tears don't really stop flowing... This is just unfair, He is such a loving, funny and sweet kitty.
Sorry :(My butt itches!0 -
Sorry to hear about Mr. Pickles, Lisa. Not a good day for kitties yesterday, it seems.
Whatever you were doing seemed to give him back a bit of spark and he is lucky to have found you guys at this time of his life. However long he may live, we know he's going to be happy and spoilt!

The time had come for my Mam's kitty, Okko, last night.
It's strange, I didn't see him that often anymore, seeing how I live in a different city now, but it still feels like a big piece has gone missing. He was a strange little thing, but very lovable.

Rest in peace, Okko. Sorry to hear that Emmi ...
Mr. Pickles is still alive and kicking. We have bad days, but thankfully also good ones. Yesterday, we thought this is it, but today he is surprisingly awake, goofy and loving as can be. When I was a kid, our cat used to climb up the tree immediatly after it was put up and the tree would fall, so my parents had to wrap twine around the tree and tack it to the wall. The cat would climb up, knock the glass balls off the tree and break them so they got the ones that were wrapped with some kind of satin thread that were unbreakable. The cat loved shredding them."In the age of darkness

Thanks everyone. xx
In better kitty news, myself and Nauhuri have been doing our Lounging Lions act almost all day today. (Work Christmas party yesterday.) It's been very snuggly and enjoyable.
Also, kids in work are very interested to know what Nauhuri has for breakfast and ask me every day. Sometimes several times a day. :P I need to find them a good picture of her to show."Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! Pig only climbs halfway up the tree. So the top half of our tree is filled with ornaments and the bottom half just has lights. Now with presents under the tree he thinks we gave him a step ladder to help him get up higher. My butt itches!0 -

We had to say goodbye to our tender pawed terrorist yesterday. His condition had worsened during the last couple of days, it was terrible having to watch him not getting enough air and being just weak and exhausted
We did everything in our powers, but he clearly didn't have a good time anymore and we didn't want him to suffer any longer. If they show signs of that heart issue so early in their life, it seems to be the genetically inherited form of hcm and you cannot really do anything, even with all the money in the world. I never had a cat with that, it is just destroying me at the moment. He came into our life just when I came to live with Cav. He was my buddy, helped me to make me feel at home and he was our little furry love child.
We are heartbroken and we miss him. He was a rock star and will never be forgotten ...Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0 -
So, so sorry Lisa. :( :( You were lucky to find each other when you did. So sorry it couldn't last longer than it did.
RIP Mr Pickles. xx0
