Knights of the Old Republic will be going free-to-play and reducing the cost of the game to $15 this fall!
So I will finally get a chance to play it. Looks like the $15/month subscription model is finally going away. I don't have enough free time to justify spending $15/month when I might not play the game for a month.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

That's why the new game can't be bad. It was interesting to see Bioware / EA do this move. Their subscriber base was only 700,000, down from around 2,000,000 when the game was released. The invested $100M making this game, so this was a desperate move to get people playing the game ... and it should work.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

Nintendo Power is going out of publication. :(
It was the highlight of the month to see that magazine in the mailbox as a kid.

I liked the graphic-style and game engine, but I found the single-player campaign too short and too much focus has since been put on the multiplayer (all the DLC that's been planned and/or released has been for multiplayer with no indication of any single-player DLC ever coming to fruition). While I found the multiplayer enjoyable, I found it takes way too long to level up and earn any decent weapons.
I'm actually looking forward to Assassin's Creed III the most this fall: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNgh5WiMbBM2003: Buffalo, Toronto

ACIII looks really good but after how disappointed I was in Revelations I think I'm going to wait a year or two before I get III.0

Yeah, that's actually a smart move because it looks like there will be lots of DLC: http://kotaku.com/5928119/sounds-lik...g-a-ton-of-dlc
Personally, I'm going to wait for a complete/Game of the Year edition to be released - plus, Ubisoft games drop in price pretty quickly now.
I really liked the setting of Revelations (Constantinople was really captured well), but I agree, the overall gameplay wasn't as good as the previous games (the tower defense mini-game was kind of annoying).2003: Buffalo, Toronto

The new Madden is looking pretty good. I've skipped the last three years but I feel it is my responsibility to guide Andrew Luck to his first Super Bowl victory.
I may even do some serious haggling and get a few former Colts that were assassinated in the off season as well.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

I'm currently figuring out how to ascend weapons and am trying to figure out how to use boss souls to make weapons.

I've found that modifying and applying boss souls to weapons isnt as good as modding normal or other elite weapons. I'm heading the catacombs next so I'm ascending a Devine weapon now.
It's funny, my second time through, I'm almost at the same level at 1/4 of the time as my first run-through.
Yeah, Blightown is a bitch. This last time through, I got the Iaito sword (which is currently my weapon Iaito lightning +4) and more or less just ran for that second bonfire. Didn't even bother fighting....just ran for it! So much easier!0
